Convert Joystick Gate
I wanted a different gate for my arcade stick. I like to play platforming games with my stick and a square gate made it a little odd to move characters in 3D spaces. The swap was as easy as unscrewing the back of the controller, pulling out the old gate and replacing it with the new gate. Works great!

Fits my 8bitdo arcade stick
Feels good, the design is simple and it was easy to install. Time will tell if it holds up, but the build quality felt solid, so I think this is a good buy if you want an 8 way directional stick.

Excellent replacement
I used this to replace the ones on my arcade 1 Up game cabinets. Easy to install. Simply remove the old, snap in these. Very easy. It gives the sticks a bit more room to move around.

Works for Arcade1up Streetfighter 2 but have to fight with it a bit to install.
I saw several reviews that said it would not work with this particular cabinet but I managed to get them on there after a bit of a struggle. Very easy to install too overall from start to finish, just YouTube it. Just be patient and try to get the tabs in the holes slowly bc its a very very snug fit. Once they are all in there you have to press down pretty firmly and hold the opposite side down. to get them to lock in but they are pretty sturdy tabs. I wasnt concerned the tabs were going to break even when was figuring it out. It was like playing a whole new game. A MUST for any decent StreetFighter player.

Improved my input accuracy from a square gate
I've used a square gate for sf4 and sfv. generally dont have issue pulling off moves and i'm comfortable with it, HOWEVER, from time to time i would miss moves which require precise direction, like chun li's head stomp which requires directly pressing on down. In fast paced battles, I would often make mistakes if stick slants slightly left or right with the square gate. I thought I can get over my mistakes with more practice but it never got fixed for me over the years. This is where the octagonal gate helped me, the moment I installed this, those kind of issues went away. I can consistently do instant headstomp and instant air legs for Chun li. Also noticed that my 2x qcf execution is better, you can see less unnecessary directional input during practice which means I'm pulling the move much faster than before. The down and forward "edge" that wasn't available in a square gate helps with having a target for the my stick movements. I don't grind on each edges but having a start and stop point really helps.

Fantastic for fighting games
I ordered this to install in my first generation 8BitDo NES30 Arcade Stick. It comes with a square gate which is absolute dog water for fighting games. This octagonal gate popped right in, and has made a HUGE difference. Love it.
