Perfect for Jeepers!
If you're a Jeeper, this is a must. I have a 2009 2Dx with a soft top. I am a music junky, so all of my tunes have to be crisp, clear, and every tone heard. For anyone with a Jeep, you know that lower end sounds are tough to get with the stock speakers and no factory sub. One of the first 'mods' that I did was upgrade the sound bar speakers. Boy, did that make a difference. I knew I wanted a sub, and the fact that this is waterproof, just makes it all the sweeter. You don't have to worry about taking off the top and have unexpected showers. Last week I took the rig out with no doors and no top. Throughout the course of the day, we had over 4" of rain. I drove around town with a friend wearing snorkels and dive masks, while still blaring my tunes.Top down? Not a problem. You can still hear the bass crisp and clear. (Obvious loss in sound due to the lack of enclosure and road noise, but still very present)If you decide to get a bass knob for volume control, do some research. If you have an aftermarket head unit, odds are it has subwoofer control right at your fingertips, and the $30 for a bass knob is wasted money. If you DO decide to get one, make sure the connection from the wire of the knob to the sub itself is a "telephone jack" type connection. NOT the headphone jack type. I made that mistake.HUGE basketball "punch" sound. It's clean, no overtones or vibrations. Easy install, and no problems so far.

Trust me! This thing is sick. spend the extra and skip the 100watt Model
7/15/2012 I have to say the reviews I read on this made me think Ok this should do it but I had to hear it for my self. Last night mission accomplished, I had no idea. This thing is absolutely amazing and it thumps. Anyone who wrote a bad review is either deaf or works for a competitor. The power and bass u can hear and feel is sick. I have been wanting this and wish I had it sooner. My boat is a 1987 22 ft sea ray cuddy cabin, the main cockpit is very spacious I put the sub under the front passenger seat. I was worried the sound may be lost under the seat, but honestly the sound quality is still very good and fills the boat nicely. Another added bonus, is that there is a green LED light near the gain and crossover which surprisingly provided enough light to adjust the settings on the water in the darkMy system consists of a pioneer head unit 50watt x 4. I do not have an amp running the speakers which are theSPS-M600 - Alpine 6.5" 110 Watts 2-Way Marine Speakers, (I reviewed those as well) I have four of these on the pioneer head unit. Once I added this tube the increase of overall sound quality and volume is tremendous. I agree with bazooka I was missing 30% of my music. I adjusted the bass mid and treble on the head unit then tweaked the bass tube to fill the low end sound out and presto! My system has never sounded better. This was exactly what my boat needed and I am not disappointed. Btw I listen to metal, death metal, techno, rap, dance etc. It all sounds good!!!!!BTW I posted pics as well!

ON THE 3RD AMP!!!
I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT FELT I NEEDED TO FOR THIS. I HAVE WENT THROUGH 2 OF THE BUILT IN AMPS ON THE TUBE AND AM CURRENTLY WAITING ON THE 3RD IN LESS THAN A YEAR. I READ THE REVIEWS AND SAW A FEW THAT SAID THE AMPS HAD WENT OUT ON THEM. STUFF HAPPENS, I GET IT. THOUGHT I WOULD STILL GIVE IT A TRY. HOOKED IT UP IN MY BOAT, SOUNDED GREAT FOR 1 DAY. CALLED AND GOT A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER AND SENT IT BACK. 2 WEEKS LATER I GET A NEW ONE. HOOK IT UP, SOUNDS GREAT USED IT 2 MORE TIMES ON MY BOAT BEFORE I PUT IT UP FOR THE WINTER. GOT IN IT FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR TURNED IT ON AND GUESS WHAT. QUIT AGAIN. ALL OF MY OTHER AMPS, TOWER SPEAKERS, AND CABIN SPEAKERS WERE INSTALLED AT THE SAME TIME AT NOT ONE PROBLEM!! BAZOOKA OFFERS A 1 YEAR WARRANTY AND MINE EXPIRES IN 2 WEEKS. I DO NOT SEE THIS 3RD AMP LASTING SO NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN THE 3RD ONE GOES OUT. I GUESS I AM PRETTY MUCH SCREWED AT THIS POINT! BOTTOM LINE IS DO NOT GET THE POWERED BAZOOKA! MAY BE SAFE WITH THE PASSIVE TUBE, BUT AT THIS POINT WHY TAKE A CHANCE ?

subwoofer
I have waited to write a review on this product in order to see how well it was going to hold up in marine conditions on a boat. I have owned this product for two years now and it works without a problem. The install and setup was a breeze. Now for the performance and difference it made to my sound system. I have 6 regular speakers in my boat and it didn't have that fulfilling base sound. After installing the Bazooka the richness is adds to the sound and feel is fantastic. I put a toggle switch on the power line runnning to the subwoofer and it is really neat to listen to the difference when a song is playing and you turn it off then back on. That is when I was really excited I had purchase the sub because it gave me an instant comparison to what I had and what I have now. I also like the fact that it is a powered sub and didn't require another amp. The quality and construction of Bazooka can be seen and felt in this product. It fairly heavy and built like a tank. I installed is under the riders side compartment in my boat and it has been bounced around while tubing, skiing, and wakeboarding for two summer without any problems. My boat is also stored in a covered marina with a boat cover over it. However, the speaker is left in a fairly damp and wet atmosphere and the speaker shows no sign of wear and tear. One other nice aspect is you can quickly detach and remove the speaker if you neeed to with the optional install straps they provided.

Nice addition to a system
This works ok in our pontoon boat. However, I would recomend going with a larger or two of these for a pontoon boat. We will be moving this to our mastercraft speed boat, which I think it is the perfect size for.Buy an amp wiring kit to make it easier on your self.Sound is good when installed, do not turn it up all the way as it is easy to run it into distortion.
