WSS-6 Foam Windscreen For SGH-6 and SSH-6 Shotgun Microphones, Reduce Wind Noise

I have used the WSS-6 and the Dead Cat on both the SGH-6 and the SSH-6. I was not able to hear much difference in the noise floor under normal conditions outside with a little wind present. So for normal outside use I would chose this (WSS-6) due to its “easier to mange” form and fit. However, under very windy conditions the Dead Cat does a better job of helping to reduce noise while still capturing the frequencies created by the human voice.

I bought this for the Zoom H6 essential, it fits perfectly and performs as expected. Shipping was fast and secure. Great experience overall.

Just what I needed to replace the lost foam. The original wasn't tight enough to stay in place, so I lost it. This one fits much better but it is just a little longer so it covers the POWER button. Still it works great.

this mic is great for getting outdoor sounds or loud sounds but the noise floor of this mic in from level 2 on up to 10 is pretty nasty to the point if your doing anything thats not loud its pretty much unusable... missed my return window or it would be sent back trust me.

Works as a windscreen, but any significant breeze requires a dead cat or different position to block direct wind. Does great indoors and in lightly moving wind, but does its best work as protection against bumps and thumps in your gear bag or while flailing around on the end of a boom pole or hand grip... Worth it, a must have really, but grab a fuzzy too.

It's a nice foam sock for your shotgun microphone!
