Omega (Alpha Book 3)

I have read a lot of books , I mean over 200 last year and they have all become the same . Not this series! It’s so fun I just love the characters and the plot really keeps you on your toes .

Jasinda Wilder’s Omega is the thrilling conclusion to a series that will push your boundaries…in all the best ways. Prepare to have every single one of your buttons pushed but, then again, some buttons are meant to be pushed… *Wink Wink* I’ve been waiting for this final book in the Alpha series for quite some time, I’ve loved both Alpha and Beta so Omega had to be read as soon as it released! I started it this morning, and even with my child running around all day causing chaos and wreaking havoc, I finished it within hours. I. Could. Not. Put. It. Down. Jasinda’s writing never fails to draw me in, I pick up one of her books and I drift away. “I’m a tough bitch, but everyone’s got their breaking point, and I was nearing mine.” Omega finds Kyrie and Roth struggling to find a solution to the now very deadly situation they have unwillingly found themselves in. No matter where they run, no matter how ruthless their team is, no matter how sophisticated the security measures, they cannot outrun the rabid dog continuously nipping at their heels. When yet another one of Kyrie’s people is snatched from right under their noses, it becomes apparent that the situation is getting worse and it’s not going to go away. Revenge is being sought and until that need has been sated no one will ever find peace or sleep easy again. Looking over their shoulders and even sailing to the ends of the earth is not going to keep any of them safe. Everyone is a target and is in danger of becoming collateral damage for the cause. Kyrie must pay and it is crystal clear that there are no limits to how far he will go to ensure she does. “Harris is coming. Harris is coming. Harris is coming.” Jasinda always gives phenomenal book, for me it’s a given. She never fails to take me on one hell of ride no matter what. Alpha and Beta were seriously intense and erotic reads; Omega kicks it up yet another notch. Omega blends heart, emotion, and humour with thrills, chills, suspense and unbelievable off the charts eroticism. The chemistry is molten hot and when temptation becomes too much to be denied any longer, it quite literally explodes. I admit I had to fan myself more than a few times and I honestly thought that my kindle might spontaneously combust when I read a few of the sexier scenes. Some scenes will make you uncomfortable and scared, but it totally works. It is, after all, an erotic thriller. When things start to get really intense and brutal, she weaves in this brilliant laugh out loud humor, it’s the craziest feeling, but it’s brilliant really. Full on snort laughs in the midst of chaos, it’s epic. This book had it all: kidnappings, weapons, 24/7 surveillance, hot alpha men more than capable of igniting any woman’s naughtiest desires, strong, incredibly brave, independent, sassy and frustrating women, deadly enemies, insane car chases, and enough suspense to keep you gripping your e-reader in desperation, Omega left me in awe and a little breathless. This was a truly fantastic conclusion to a series that has become one of my all-time favorites. I loved every single moment. The writing was fabulous and the characters unforgettable. The pacing was fast, furious, and relentless, I read this one in one sitting and when I was finished, I was left with a goofy grin on my face. “I wasn’t capable of saying goodbye to him. So I rushed back to kiss him once more, amazed that this was me, in love with a man who loved me back.” Thank you once again, Jasinda, for reminding why you are one of my auto-click authors. Once again, you blew me away.

After the emotional whiplash of book two I was uncertain I was prepared for what possibly awaited me in “Omega”, the third and final installment of Jasinda Wilder’s Alpha Series. I was uncertain and uneasy because “Beta” was gut churning. It made bile rise up in my throat, and I cringed, and gasped, and seethed with rage at the terrors both Roth and Kyrie endured. It attacked my senses like a pit viper and pushed me to the limit of my emotional fortitude and as a result I was unsure I could take another all-out assault on my senses. However, as if understanding my need to take a breath after the fiery paced juggernaut of “Beta”, Wilder again brilliantly changes tempo. And with “Omega” takes her time for a few chapters, breaking the book down into two main parts and slowing the momentum in part one, just enough for you to restore your heart back fully into your chest. But, not so much that you lose the anxious butterflies in your stomach. Then, just as you alllllmost feel lulled back to safety, she hurls you brutally back into the thick of danger surrounding them all in part two! Reminding you that the threat from Vitaly is still all too real, lurking predatorily, waiting to take his promised kill. And within three sentences you are thrown back into the frantic pace of life, death, and merciless push for revenge that has dominated the series. “Omega” is the perfect combination of the first book’s slow, sultry march, and the second’s neck breaking speed toward seeming doom. Beginning a few months after “Beta” ends, this third and final installment begins with Roth, Kyrie, Layla, Harris, et al. still on the open ocean, hiding, planning their next moves, and dealing with the emotional consequences of what has been set in motion for all of them after ending Gina. It brilliantly and organically allows us to glean a fuller understanding of Roth’s world from those living in it with him. It brings Layla, Harris, and several new characters to the forefront of the story providing an intricately layered yet properly (and gloriously) organized transfer from Roth, Kyrie, and their Alpha Series, to Harris and Layla’s “Alpha One Security” spin off. However, unlike the first two books I did find a few hiccups with this one. Unlike other multi-book series I’ve read this one was flawless in its transitions, the flow from scene to scene, and book to book, superb, until the second part of this installment. For example, there’s a bit of a jump in attitude with Harris between the last chapter and the epilogue. He does a complete about face and I wish there would have been a bit more at the end with him and his seeming change of heart concerning the epilogue scene after spending the better part of the last chapter convincing Layla to go without him. Additionally, and more importantly, I wish there would have been a better weaving of the Vitaly character from the point of the Cut/Layla scene forward. After such a big moment in the story, he and his reaction is completely forgotten and sadly does not circle back to a full and proper explanation to why he decides to approach Layla alone at the end. Nor is an explanation given as to why he is able to track Layla the way he does throughout. Something that is referenced over and over again, but never actually explained. All detail I would have liked to have seen tied up neater and which would have given a more satisfactory conclusion. However, despite the loose ends staying frustratingly loose, “Omega” is a fitting end to this arc of the story and still a must read in my opinion. Now on to Alpha One Security and some more Harris!

****SPOILER ALERT**** Omega is a freakin sexy, bada**, drama-filled, happily ever after, sexy ( is it possible to mention sexy too many times? hell no!) end to this series! So Gina is dead and her father is out for revenge. Roth, Kyrie, and Harris are on the run. Layla, Kyrie's best friend, joins the trio and in true Layla form, she stir things up on Roth's private island! Vitaly, Gina's father, discover their hideout and kidnap Layla. Oh yeah things get really interesting once Layla is kidnapped. Layla is not your typical female. She's not a girly girl or damsel. She is hard as bricks, has MMA moves to rival seasoned fighters, and she's sexy as hell! After an attempted rape, she kills Vitaly's best friend (kills dude with a freakin ink pen!) and escapes. Who do ya think is en route to rescue Layla? Harris!!!! Unflappable Harris! First....Harris is not a robot LOL(read book 1 and 2 in series to understand this comment)! Nope dude proves time and time again he is a super hot, super sexy, alpha male with unbelievable stamina! Layla and Harris, the oddest couple in creation, is soooooooooo damn hot together! Ten. 10. One Harris and Layla session. I'll just leave that right there to marinate........ As Harris and Lalya fight to stay one step ahead of Vitaly, secure their new relationship, and return to Kyrie and Roth, the violence and drama escalates to epic proportions! After the drama with Vitaly comes to a head where Harris is shot ( yeah that sap sucker Vitaly shot MY boyfriend, Harris) and Vitaly is ultimately killed thanks to Harris' A-1 security crew, all is well. Harris and Layla are in love, Roth and Kyrie are safe, and well dang the series is now over! Omega is off the charts sexy! I love drama, violence, and good chemistry among the characters and this book, this series nailed it! Omega is a phenomenal end to one of the best series ever! I'm seriously gonna miss Roth, Kyrie, Harris, Layla, Thresh, and Sasha. This group definitely secured in place in my heart.....

Omega picks up right after the ending of Beta. Roth, Kyrie, and Layla are hiding from Vitaly Karahalios, who is now their sworn enemy. It's not a matter of if but when Vitaly will strike to get revenge for his daughter's death. Layla is chaffing at all the restrictions placed on her and she simply wants to go home. She's even more bothered by Harris, who doesn't seem to feel the attraction she does. Then in the middle of the night, Vitaly strikes and manages to kidnap Layla despite all of the security measures Harris put in place. Now Harris is desperately searching for Layla before Vitaly murders her. Will Harris find her in time? Will he finally admit his attraction to Layla? Just wow. What another great book in this series. I was hooked from the first word and kept swiping the screen to see what would happen next. Wilder does an amazing job with the suspense and action in this book. The scenes played out like a summer block buster movie in my head. What Layla did to survive Vitaly will give readers the shudders. I can't review this book without mentioning the sex. There is a lot of it. I felt like I needed to smoke a carton of cigarettes after I finished this book and I have never smoked in my life! Omega is the third book in the Alpha series (it is not a standalone read!!!). Wilder combines intense action scenes with smoking hot love scenes to create an epic story. If you love erotic romance, this series is definitely a must read.

Omega cannot be read as a stand alone romance. It must be read in series order. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Omega by Jasinda Wilder. Omega is the third book in the Alpha series. This series is a combination of erotica, sensual romance, romantic suspense, and dark thrillers. Each book has changed the direction of the series and added multiple layers of intrigue and suspense while maintaining the sensual erotic relationship between Kyrie and Roth. The third book, Omega, added another layer and another sensual romance between Harris and Layla while still giving Kyrie and Roth their happily ever after. Omega is my favorite book in this series! In the previous books, Alpha and Beta, Roth and Kyrie’s world went from erotic intrigue to an action packed dark thriller. Due to Roth’s past dealings as an arms dealer on the black market he made some powerful enemies. When they killed Vitaly’s , the most powerful player, psychotic daughter; they started a war. A war they could not win. Vitaly has more power, more men, and more resources. He has a reputation to protect. The only way to keep his throne in the underworld is to destroy Roth, Kyrie, and anyone that has any connections to them. Roth and Kyrie are on the run. It will be up to Harris to save them all. Harris is the man for the job. He is the true Alpha in this series. Every Alpha needs a mate and Kyrie’s wild and crazy best friend Layla is the perfect woman to tame Nicolas Harris, Alpha extraordinaire. Harris is in for an adventure that his special ops training never prepared him for. Layla is going to capture his heart and claim his soul. She is the perfect partner to stand by his side when facing the most brutal enemy. She will kick butt, take names, and rock Harris’s world at the same time. Layla is my favorite heroine that Jasinda Wilder has created. I think I have a major girl crush on this woman. She’s strong, resourceful, intelligent, fun, and downright sexy. Harris is one of the sexiest heroes to grace Jasinda’s pages. This strong silent man doesn’t have to say more than three words before your panties are dropping. And finally, Kyrie and Roth are just as hot for each other as they have been in the previous books. They are finally going to get their happily ever after. I loved Omega. This was a great book. I loved the storyline, the characters, the toughness, the messy parts and the fun parts. I laughed out loud.
