Hi there. Yes it is plastic. However our Aussie Minerals are approximately 378,000 ppm of dissolved solids (minerals) which is pretty close to as dense as liquid can get. Our mineral solution being fully saturated is unable to absorb anything from the plastic bottle. To give an example of the exact opposite situation - distilled water has approx 1ppm of dissolved solids and this water is very "hungry" (for the lack of a better term) and so it is always looking to regain a natural balance and will pull from its surroundings. Many people who know distilled water reference its ability to pull minerals and contaminants from the body. If one was to test distilled water stored in plastic there will concerns with chemical leaching. Hope this story explains and relieves any concerns.

Q: Is this a good source of selenium?

Their website has a total analysis with all mineral contents. It says selenium is less than .5 mg/kg. It's not listed on the product itself, the only ones listed on the product are calcium, magnesium, chloride, sodium and potassium.

Q: Do these minerals help boost collagen production? I see there isn’t much zinc and copper in it?

There are other products that are for boosting collagen production. This is not one of them.
