ILS - Sensor AC 220V 3 Way Touch Control Switch Dimmer Lamp Desk Light Parts

I liked it because it worked, as one would. These things are quite confusing; the wires can be of non-standard colours and the design varies. The Y0utube tutorials are poor as well. The demonstrators sometimes waffle on pointlessly or don't strip the wires back far enough, so all you see is fingers and Stanley knives. But, that said, this device was easy to fit and does the job.

The media could not be loaded.  A new touch lamp I bought failed and I couldn’t get back to the store to exchange as it was the last one on display (maybe that’s why it was faulty and they knew!).Anyways, ordered one of these - came within 24hrs.*Wiring Up*Like most, I searched for the guides online but for those who don’t want to bother, feel free to look at the image I used online attached to this review to help. It was perfect and the clearest I could find without watching a ton of videos.I have fitted a 40w bulb to my touch lamp, and the unit is emitting a funny smell when on.I’ll keep it on a while to see if it disappears as it’s not getting very hot or anything. Could be the flux in the solder evaporating. The board on the unit does look a little cheap and sometimes this is the cause.*Update* - Smell now gone after 24hrs from unit.Must have been flux on board evaporating.Any updates I’ll post on here but as long as you can do basic wiring, it should be no problem.I soldered all my wires and used ‘heat shrink’ to ensure a good connection. The wires are a little thin from what I expected mind but works none the less.UPDATE:Ordered my second one now to covert an existing bedside lamp for my son from the rocker switch type to touch. Work a treat and no more stretching my arm down the back of the bed trying to find the power rocker switch.See video for wiring and then final image with all the heat shrink to secure the connections.Wrks a dream! May look for more lamps to covert to touch after this considering how cheap the product is.Use E14 Osram 300degree bulbs in the lamp (40w) as LED bulbs won’t allow you to dim on the 3 settings this black box has. (TOP TIP!)Enjoy.

I decided to order this despite the poor reviews because I thought I might be able to use some of the parts. As others have said, the parts are smaller than on the original board and the cables are thinner. I also found that most of the solder joints were very suspect. Decided not to harvest parts, and resoldered all the joints, removed the cables and soldered the board to the cables on the lamp. NOTHING!Fortunately I had also ordered another make, which is just on/off touch module. I installed that one and it worked fine.AVOID THIS SUPPLIER AND THIS PRODUCT!!!

The device works well. and you will need a little skill fitting it as no instructions. If you are an electrician this is no problem but can be slightly confusing for a DIY person. All in it done the job perfectly

Bought this to replace failed unit in touch bedside lamp which had given up the ghost. Wire colour coding did not match existing unit, but I thought I had worked it out from diagram on unit itself and other diagrams published on the internet. Despite careful examination of wiring layout, I could not get it to work. Gave up and bypassed touch facility and installed in-line switch instead. (Also replaced existing twin cable with one with twin and earth, for safety reasons, given that this is a metal lamp.) Wasted the money, but it was still worth a try for the small cost involved. Don't know if my installation was faulty or unit was. Best of luck if you give it a go.

Bought to replace a burnt out module in a four year old John Lewis table lamp. Suspect that the original one might have failed as a result of a fluorescent bulb being fitted, rather than a filament bulb.This replacement module was easy to fit and has been working for several months now (with a proper filament bulb). Not quite sure how these lamps will survive , once filament bulbs are no longer available.

Easy to repair, did exactly what it was meant to do, very pleased to have a working lamp again.

Could have done with instructions as wire colour coding on item was different to the original. Required a search on the internet to discover how to fit.

Das Produkt ist ein gelungene Einheit als Steuerelement für moderne Schaltfunktion für alle möglichen elektischen Kleinverbaucher. Ich bin verwundert über die sehr praktische Lösung und dem günstigen Preis. Bedauerlich ist, daß keinerlei technische Daten genannt werden. Zumindest sollte der maximale und minimale Wert genannt werden.Besser wäre noch die Angabe der zulässigen induktiven und kapazitiven Grenzwerte Werte, bei den noch eine garantierte Funktion gewärleistet ist. Es würde dadurch viel Ärger bei falschen Einsatz vermieten.

Purtroppo non sono arrivata in tempo per il reso. Non funziona, abbiamo provato in tutti i modi. Era difettoso.Arriva in una bustina senza schema elettrico
