I like that these are sugar free and I use them for dry coughs & sore throat

I have bought this when I lived in Austria. The small round shape fits nicely in the roof of the mouth and cannot be chewed/ broken into pieces like any product I’ve been able to buy since returning to live in the US. It does not become a sharp shard that could do damage if swallowed or lodged in the mouth. That fact alone makes it ‘safer’. Tiny if swallowed so no harm done. It lasts a very long time and this means a more continuous effectiveness. It does not leave a coating on my tongue. Yes, it is more expensive per piece, but totally worth it in my experience. I would have preferred to be able to buy just one container, but it is so much more effective it was ultimately an easy decision. There are so many ways to spend that are not cost practical …. Bottled water, cigarettes, drive through coffees, etc. but we all make choices.

My sister uses these in Germany. I bought them there, and now keep them in my purse and around the house. I used to get hydrocodone for my cough to use when I went to a concert. Now I use Ipalat. But it is twice as expensive in the US as in Germany. Still worth it. It works for me.
