Mattel Games Big Picture Apples to Apples Game

Our family is a huge fan of Apples to Apples games. We have the Jr version as well as the regular and the smallest ones feel left out because they can't read so we were very pleased to find this version. Not only does it make this a fun game for preschoolers, the older ones love it too because the pictures are funny and without words it can be whatever they want it to be so their imagination cracks us up. I bought it for one of my children's kids but have now ordered it again from Amazon for my son's family. This is a huge hit! I recommend all of the Apples to Apples games. It is our favorite.

My children are ages 4, 9, 19 and 21! We all love apples to apples. (And that includes myself and my husband too who has a hard time playing games!) We chose going to number 3 and continued to raise the number to win we were having so much fun! My 4 year old is learning about descriptive words as well as my 9 year old. The pictures are fascinating to look at, talk about and try to put a word to it! They did a great job in making this game!!

This is a fun game to play, and the rules are very easy to understand. I bought it for my 8 year old grandson for his birthday. You need at lest 3 and preferably 4 people to play the game. Have Fun!

This is a fun family game. Depending on the child a 6-7 year old could grasp the concept and enjoy the silliness. The game is also entertaining for older kids/teens and adults. Game instructions are easy to grasp and quick to learn. Great game for family game night, or for a group of kids.

Apples to Apples was always a big hit at family game night so I was hoping that this new version would be as well. It definitely did not disappoint! I love the new twist and the pictures are hilarious! It makes for a fun filled night. I like this version also because with pictures instead of words on the cards, the younger players have an easier time!

Great concept but similar to Crappy Birthday which I think came first. Maybe use the cards interchangeably between the games? The photos are the cheap stock photos that no one likes, I think they could have spent SOME money on photos and not relied on the free ones available on the internet.My advice is add your own photos to the game, could be truly hilarious with some family photos!

This is the best family game ever. We have spent many evenings laughing and talking getting to understand how one another sees the world but it’s so much fun that you don’t realize the therapeutic value until years later.

I purchased this game for school, to play with children aged 5-12 and I was VERY disappointed when I received this game. My students love playing Apples to Apples Jr. but some kids have trouble reading. I thought this version would be great, but after opening it and taking a look at the picture cards I started to wonder if the makers of this game had ever met a young child. Some of the pictures are pretty inappropriate, a guy with a plumbers crack etc., and had to toss a bunch of pictures. This game sits in my closet at school. So disappointed.

Great game for the whole family - perfect when you have a range of ages playing. And you can take it seriously or just have fun choosing silly pictures to fit the words.
