Surprisingly fun
We bought this for our 8 year old son for Christmas. It has turned into a family favorite. It is challenging and fun. We will certainly buy more. I can’t say much about its durability and such, but it seems like it will last as long as you don’t abuse it.

Fantastic Fun for Old and Young
What seems like a long time ago I started to buy these for my daughter and even though she is 23 now, I still get her one for her birthday. A family tradition that neither one of us wants to stop as it's a bit of fun. For a while I thought that I'd run out of these to buy but found another and here it is.This one follows the usual format of a 3D ball maze, guiding a ball bearing around a convoluted route. They really are fascinating things and if you ever leave one on a table everyone from the youngest to the oldest is naturally drawn to it.They are all tricky to do and this is the same. However it's also about how long you have to guide the ball around the maze as well as of course the longer you are doing it the more likely the chance of allowing the ball to drop off the route. This one is moderately short and therefore idea for casual pick up and put down. Possibly for a young(ish) child compared to the expert ones which seem to go on forever. To be honest I can't praise this - and similar - enough. They develop hand and eye co-ordination whilst being deeply fun and addictive. And they don't need batteries or computers or game pads. Really, an old fashioned idea made modern and that in my book is a brilliant thing.

Too delicate to be an effective toy
This was initially brilliant but one knock when the cat knocked it from a shelf has meant that something inside has moved and the ball can no longer travel along one of the channels. In fact, the ball is entirely stuck and it’s unplayable. £17 down the drain - gutted.

Wrong picture
Be sure to check the model name - the first photograph shows the Rebel for age 8+ but we actually received the Rookie for age 6+ which is shown in the photographs without the box.
