Very compact unit. Very easy to set up in my outdoor sump. I have an anti backflow in lineAs the pump moves the water about 40 feet through an underground 1.5 inch pvc pipe to the front yard area. It works flawlessly on the automatic cycle. IT IS SO QUIET!! I can barely hear it when standing over it while it is running. Much quieter than my former submersible pump I had for 8 years in the same sump. Hopefully this will last as long!This really shoots the water out very quickly!The sump in 18" round and about 30" deep.It clears the water from it in about 5 seconds.Nice!

Initially gave 1 star for failing after 2 months. I took the thing and found the float was stuck. Pretty poor designed float and mine was stuck up by a small amount of debris.Cleaned that out removed the float (i dont need the float) and it started working again. 4 stars due to how easy the float sticks but it’s working again

The media could not be loaded.  We installed this in a low area where a large amount of water collects during a downpour. We also created a catch basin for 2 downspouts and directed that water into the pump basin my husband created from a Home Depot bucket. Our concern was that we needed to run the pump’s discharge hose under a sidewalk which would require us to hydroexcavate under the paver walkway. By doing this the discharge hose ran 2 feet down, under the sidewalk then 2 feet up and around to the discharge area requiring a lengthy hose run. Well, this pump pushes all that water, quickly through this 50’ run. By adding a check valve we made sure the water didn’t flow back to the pump.

I used this sump pump as part of a new washer drain system. It works great automatically, activated by the presence of water, and pumps out water quickly and quietly. It does leave about 4 inches of water (see photo) at the bottom of the tank in this particular application. This standing water can be drained down to about 1/2" using a manual switch on the pump.PROBLEM SOLVED...After getting a new washer, I learned that it's drain pump would not function without venting the house drain line. And then...water overflowed from a newly vented line. I didn't have this problem with previous washing machine as it's drain pump worked with the unvented plumbing in my old 1950s house. Rather than have potentially extensive and expensive new plumbing installed to update the drain system, I placed a vented 23 gallon RV water storage tank next to the washer, drained the washer into the tank, and then pushed the wash water from the tank into the old unvented drain system.

Purchased this to drain a catchment with silty water. Didn't work at all, constantly clogged. Rented a different unit and problem solved. Might be ok on clean, clear water but that's about it. I wouldn't recommend.

USE: As per listing description. Internal Float for limited space is properly working and adequate for my needs. USE AREA: outside in a only slightly dirty water pit-area rain water run-off. Have used a perforated basket to level the pump & better provide elimination of standing water. Auto On & Off as necessary. Home Depot for the adapters to connect a water hose. ***IMPORTANT: I contacted the seller: Quote: " Two Year Warranty & to contact the seller should there be any issues. " So far: great!

Vary nice pump at a very good price. My only real complaint is that the pump does not weigh very much and I had to use two bricks on top of it for stability.

I tested before I put it in use. My neighbor held onto the 25 foot 1 1/4 inch hose as I plugged in the motor. We knew it would blast the water like a fire hose. I had submerged the pump in a 5 gallon bucket full of water. It emptied the bucket down to within about 4 inches in 4 seconds. No kidding!!! Four seconds !!! Impressive.

Would not catch a prime after 10 minutes. Terrible value. Had to go to Canadian tire to get one that worked
