Q: What is the thickness at the heel?

Don't know exact measure but it was pretty thin....they were ok but did not have the thickness of others I also bought...it all depends on why you need them but wouldn't recommend if you experience high levels of heel pain....they would be fine for a softening filler for shoes if you didn't have serious issues

Q: So you can’t move these from shoe to shoe?

The Dr. Scholl's Heel Cups can certainly be moved from one pair of shoes to another. To ensure they stay in place, make sure to wipe them and the heel area of the shoe clean with a wet wipe. Enjoy our Heel Cups in all of your shoes.

Q: Can I use these for fencing? I know heel cups will help with pain when lunging, but I don’t know about these specifically.

That was the only thing that helped me with my plantar fascilitits along with new balance shoes. I feel I never had spur on my right foot. But, only the one that is for both women and men . You see on the bottom left says woman/man sizes.
