Great not cluttered screen, solar, atomic and triple sensor (ABC) watch.
I was looking for a sporty reliable watch and looked not further than a Casio. Sport Trek series is the get go with outdoors enthusiast. This great just by telling the time and accuracy, although it does way more. This was once a $300 watch but as anything it's time passed and its discontinued. The good news is that there are a few still in the market, now at lower price. Great watch, make sure is fully charged before you forguet you have a watch.. Because it doesn't require babysitting. It would take a good 4-6 hr of sun light depends of the battery state you received. It took me a couple of hrs for 3 days at the sun while it wasn't in use. I was anxious to see the battery on H" but it take its time. Same with receiving the radio signal for atomic time.. It would get it.. It might take a few days, it might fail manually, but don't you worry, when the conditions are right it would happen. Besides the watch doesn't need it every day to keep its accuracy. But on long term its a backup to keep time and autochange if your time zone uses DTS or not. Great size, not too big not too bulky, sporty, but still elegant.

I've Never Been Happier With A Purchase
The right mix between style, weight/comfort and sturdiness and has kept time perfectly. I even checked it yesterday with a sundial. Spot on! The battery hasn't budged from "M".This is my everyday watch. I go nowhere without it. Oregon is mountainous, and roads often curvey and disorienting; so the altimeter and compass are very useful.I use the timer for cooking my gourmet buckwheat waffles. I wear it to bed, doing carpentry and working in the garden.

Great size for average wrists
For years now I've Loved casio gshock and Pathfinder watches, unfortunately the vast majority of their watches are huge, even for people with larger wrists the 50mm plus widths have a lot of wrist presence.. fortunately Casio saw a small niche for people wanting an ABC watch without the size, introducing the 3100, a perfect size for smaller wrists, 47mm might even sound large but it's design gives it a lower profile. The newly engineered LCD makes for much clearer reading, at different angles and in different lights which most digital watches struggle to compensate for.The strap is comfortable, the buttons are metal and the water resistance is 100m which is suitable for basically everyone, the odds of me scuba diving are pretty low so this has enough water resistance to suit your needs, In my work I constantly have my hands in water have had no problems. The accuracy of the barometer is spot on, the altimeter..I haven't climbed anywhere and the temp is always off, wearing any Temp reading watch will always provide with inaccurate results due to body heat, the compass works as it should and all other functions are available like sunrise and sunset at the touch of a button.Overall I'm pleased with this Pathfinder, I've had a few in the past, even the higher end Pathfinders but this one, but just like Goldilocks this is the ideal size.

Quality, durable, love the solar, and radio controlled
Large LCD screen easy to read at a glance.Watch is a very neutral size on the wrist. Comfortable, all materials are quality. The solar and radio controlled are must haves for me. Set it and forget it!!!!All functions seem to be very accurate. For temperature to be accurate must not be on wrist.Only wish they had the month displayed on the main screen along with day & date.

Just what I wanted and needed
I'm a big fan of Casio watches. I choose them carefully for specific needs. In this case, I selected this model as a tool for my outdoor activities, mainly hiking, camping, and hang gliding.I like to keep track of my altitude, temperature, baro, and directions from a compass. This is my backup for instruments I normally carry.I could have purchased a G-Shock Mudman, but I do not need to strap a brick to my wrist as I do not crawl through mud, nor navigate 20,000 leagues under the sea. I just need a slim, easy on the wrist, friendly basic solar powered watch. I have found that a solar powered watch is a lot easier to maintain than a mechanical or battery watch. Atomic time keeping is a bonus as you do not wear out the buttons from constant setting of the time, and easy on the watch as you do not have to replace the battery every other year. This watch suits my needs to a "T". It is in fact slim at 12mm. Only slightly larger than my Sieko 5 automatic, so all in all, not an eye-sore. It's a clean look that I really like. The triple sensor is a great feature and easy to use. Some buyers have complained that the altimeter, temperature, compass, and barometer are inaccurate. I believe they, for the most part, may be wrong. Having used aircraft altimeters and such, I have learned that they need constant calibration before EACH use. Changes in barometric pressure effect accuracy hourly, so a user must be mindful of inaccuracies over time.First thing I did when I opened the box was to calibrate all the sensor readings, including temperature. I then compared the sensor readings to accurate instruments I have in my home. Just as expected, the watch matched all my other instruments. As for temperature readings on the wrist, yes, there will be error. The watch acts like a heat sink and will absorb heat from your body. If you need to track temperature, you can wear the watch on the outside of your garment and if you are really concerned about it, you can adjust the reading up or down manually to account for the heat from your body. In my case, I would just remove the watch so I can keep an eye on the temperature in my tent.Would I buy this watch again? Yes.Pros: slim, lightweight, easy to operate, easy to read.Cons: None at this time.

Excelente Reloj

back-country tool
IMHO the best back-country watch. Smaller and more comfortable than the mudman with all the functionality. Baro and compass work great.
