Gas engineer recommended this,It's beautiful and easy to use it, I am so glad I bought this gas monitor.My alarm went off one day while I was doing dishes.It's a good little investment, I definitely recommend it!

Do NOT buy this! After a couple months it just started randomly going off startling everyone and the dogs. There is no propane even on for hours and it just goes off showing an alarm (not fault). It is really frustrating! I'm not one that usually writes bad reviews, but this is ridiculous.

I just purchased a home with a gas fire place. I am not familiar with them so I thought I would purchase this to give me some piece of mind. Well I turned the valve on and went to use the fire place for the first time and couldn't get it to start. I left the valve on because the unit shouldn't be leaking. Had to leave for a bit and came back to my house with a very strong gas smell and had to call my emergency gas service provider. It wasn't like a little bit of a gas smell. I have been around leaks before. This was so bad I didn't feel safe entering the house. I suggest looking into a different unit.

Nice item and works perfectly. I love the convenience and how easy it is to use. I made sure that I simulated a gas leak to see if it would go off and it did. So yes I recommend and yes I trust. And yes it's very loud and annoying so I know I will hear it during the night.

I tested when i received it, and found out that this device is great. The alarm was pretty loud that you could hear from far away.  I hope that I never have to hear the alarm go off for a real leak. And I would recommend this gas leak device for you first choice.

This is an update to my review: The monitor started working again, but Monkemon replaced it with a new one because it had malfunctioned. Monkemon contacted me because of my previous review. This was my old review: Can't find a phone number to call for support. Monitor is sounding an alarm every 30 seconds or so but no lights are lit, not even the power light. Unit is about 4 months old.

It's alarm is not as loud as I expected. I expected it to be as loud as a smoke detector, but it is much quieter.
