Solar Shield Gray Polarized Clip On Ultra Light Frame 56 Rec 1

This ultra light '56 Rec 1' is extremely hard to find in retail stores, either in the gray or amber lens. Once the customer chooses the correct shape, the Solar Shields are easy to attach and the polarized lens removes the glare. My first pair of amber Solar Shields, used for night driving, broke two summers ago when I sat on them. Not wanting to pay $35.00 plus tax at a local sports outlet for another Brand, I decided to search Amazon first and only found one pair of the Solar Shields w/gray lens. The sun glasses made to fit over eye glasses are large and bulky. Sometimes I forget to take them off when walking into a store and then wonder where to stash them w/o scratching or breaking. With the Solar Shields, it is not necessary to remove from my bi-focal glasses. They are fantastic for driving because there are no black stems in the middle to obstruct vision like another Brand of clip-ons. I'm able to attach with only one hand now while wearing glasses, as opposed to holding the glasses and securing them with two hands. Secure by attaching/hooking onto one side of the frame; then slowly & gently pulling the spring mechanism to stretch the shield, hooking it over the opposite side of the frame. Solar Shield ultra lights and price are best for my personal preference for eye protection.

I recently bought new eye glasses and the shop had no sunglasses that would fit the lenses. I was expecting to have to wade through countless shops and websites to find something that fits. Now all I want is another pair of these with amber lenses. I am delighted to find these Solar Shield sunglasses - they're a near perfect fit. I found the sizing instructions a little confusing, but the manufacturer's website has a couple of great sizing docs:[...]& [...]Great lenses, my eyes instantly feel the relief when I put these on. Definitely a best buy if you want clip-ons and especially if your face is as wide as mine.

I do not pay for all the never ending bells and whistles they try to sell when you go to get glasses. I have to do enough with anti-glare, one pair for computer one pair for driving/everyday wear. So I keep these in my car and clip them onto my glasses. Just make sure you get the right size for your glasses!

These are great , visibility is real good, they are very lite, the only problem is how difficult it is to get the correct size to fit my glasses. I have tried 4 times and I still haven't managed to get a pair to fit my special glasses. If the gave sizes so that it would be easier to get them correct it would be great. There is still a little part of the glass that is not covered by the sunglasses I have ordered

They work, but they aren't the same size as the more sturdy ones I got direct from the company. This model doesn't cover the lenses as well as the model which isn't "ultralight". Maybe that's one of the reasons they cost less.

Bought these solar shields for my husband after he lost his on vacation this summer. They fit his glasses perfectly and function great in converting his prescription glasses to sunglasses. He really likes them and was so glad I could find replacement.

I really like the clip on. Only problem is it's hard to get the right size.
