Nice Work Boots for Light Duty
The boots are light and comfortable. If you're a supervisor or an engineer, they're great for those of us who are in and out of buildings all day. Not great for traction in the mud, but very good on flat surfaces: shop, lab, office. My feet felt great after standing on steel grates, laboratory floors, and walking along dirt roads. They need about 2 days to break in, but a piece of athletic tape on my ankle prevented a blister. After the 2 days, the leather was flexing, and I didn't need the extra skin protection.

Very comfortable work boot
For ME an insole change put these right alongside Thorogoods , for a 1/3rd of the price ! A very light comfortable boot . At no point during my workday do these feel like work boots . The wide toe box makes the aluminum toe un noticeable

JUNK
I purchased a pair of these, my second pair because I loved the way they fit and comfort. With the second pair Keen had changed the style of the sole of the boot and they began to delaminate and crack within three months. My feet began to get wet while standing ON, not in the slightest bit of water. I contacted Keen, who did send me another pair, while under warranty and the new boots did the exact same thing in a shorter amount of time. For $160, these are not worth it unless you decide to take them to a shoe repair shop have and the soles changed before use. I will not be buying these anymore. Keen should not have changed the construction of the sole to save a few bucks.

Pretty Good Boot, But Not Without Its Issues
Like the overall look and comfort of this boot. Roomy toe box, fairly lightweight. Little need to break in, wearable right out of the box. Would be better if they were insulated. Laces are garbage. I'm a month in and they're starting to wear our. Not a major deal, but $130 for a work boot and the laces fail? Will be interesting to see how long the soles last as they're fairly thin. Scuffs easily.

Comfort
Sizing was spot on to what I normally wear. Took about a day to break in. I do not see these as long term down in the dirt type of boot. I am a PM walking in project sites mostly in concrete all day. These fit the bill. Light weight for sure. I do agree with some as noted, the laces do seem a bit light duty for long term use.Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

A Step Up
These Keen work boots are really nice. Light weight and roomy in the toe. I do want to point out that they, or at least the size 7D, are wider than most shoes. I have a wide foot, but even though Amazon said these fit as expected, I took a chance and ordered the D width instead of wide. I was surprised to find them to be as wide as a EEE. This worked out great because they could be very uncomfortable having a composite toe. As it is they fit perfectly.I like that they lace all the way up and don’t use the clips for the top two or three pairs of eyes. I hate it when those clips hang up on a ladder. I worry that one of these days I will break my neck.I also like how light weight they are.The leather appears to be of very good quality. That I can’t confirm until they have been in the field for awhile.UPDATE: After considerable job-site wear I want to confirm all of the above is correct. Great show! Only issue: stretched a bit so very large now. Suggest one by a 1/2 size smaller than usual.

I really want to like this shoe, but a few shortcomings
To start, I usually dont give out reviews unless a product warrants it. I work as a welder/fabricator so im on my feet for a good portion of the day, doing anywhere from 9-12 hour days. Before I jump into the negatives, i have to give credit to the shoe--it fits true to size.Ive had this shoe for about 2 weeks now and this is the most comfortable work shoe i've worn to date, barely any break in time--it feels like a casual shoe. I did change out the insole for my preferred brand (sofsole work) and it made the shoe much more comfortable as the original insole that comes with it has this weird "step/hump" that you can feel about mid-arch area, not felt at all with my thicker insole. The laces feel heavy duty but we shall see about longevity. I like that it is unlined/not insulated much if at all, an important aspect since the Arizona weather can be relentless with feet sweating and ventilation. The lace system is ok, I wish it was a speed lace up top but oh well.I had the unfortunate opportunity to test out the toeguard already only 2 weeks into owning this shoe and, well, I wish the toe guard/box area was about another half inch to 1" or so longer, as this probably would have saved my toe from being bruised as it currently is from dropping a piece of thick sheetmetal on it by accident from only a few inches above and just missing the toeguard area. For reference, it dropped right where the base of my toe meets the rest of my foot/the "hinge" area, or speaking medically, right where the phalange of the large toe meets the metatarsal bones--I really feel this is a smaller toe guard than other shoe brands I have worn. The first week, I noticed a thread stitch starting to come undone, this 2nd week I noticed the other shoe had a stitch coming out. At this rate, 6 months looks to be the lifespan before im expecting to buy another pair. The leather already has some holes forming. It is quite soft, so im guessing thats part of the comfort level factor. With that said, I know this boot wasnt designed for the welding environment and this is more of a general purpose safety shoe and there are plenty of other great choices out there to fulfill the welding environment duty (I usually go with my cowboy boot style steel toes) and im not sure yet if I would give this shoe another chance on the next go around of shoe purchases, so thats TBD. I cant give this shoe greater than 3 stars, but I cant give it any less either. I do like it, but dont love it either. For the time being, I'll try to be a bit more careful haha.
