It's a bit clunky but does the job of securing our $300 surge protector
I paid big bucks for a plastic locking Camco product from my dealer. That yellow ball looking thing cracked at the hinge after the 3rd use and was rendered useless. This metal box has been a great alternative and I feel confident our surge protector is properly secured. The hinges aren't going to crack and it looks like it'll last. It is also much less conspicuous than the yellow ball. The "clunky" reference has to do with the padlock banging around as I'm stowing it in our motor coach. No biggie; just different. I also like that this item is much smaller than the yellow ball.

Protect your investment
Surge suppressors aren't cheap. Makes more sense to lock it up when staying for an extended period of time when you will be leaving your campsite for site seeing and stuff. Well made and easy to use. More piece of mind.

wimpy lock
Had to drill & make the hole for the lock larger. The lock that came with it was a bit wimpy.

Great to know they can't walk off with an expensive surge protector!
I like the quality of the box and would have given 5 stars if the lock was better.

Useful
Good buy. But not needed for some RV sites. Some hookups not able to use because of the position of the hookup. It just does not fit. But material is good.

To use with Camco 50 amp Surge Protector
Great product but had to modify to use it with Camco 50 amp Surge Protector. Had to cut handle opening a little larger and grind some of the handle down. Works GREAT and would definitely buy again.

Just order another lock.
The lock this comes with is ridiculous. I understand this is only used as a deterrent but I think my 7 year old daughter could break this lock.

I like the item and if it would have been larger it would have worked for me.
