Wouldn't learn any remote signals. :(
Using Smart Life I was able to get it installed and it had software controls for my LG TV, which automatically connected my Alexa. That all worked great, I could tell Alexa to turn on the TV and it would automagically, what didn't work great was 1. There was no software controls for my X1 xFinity cable box, or Comcast, or the box manufacturer Arris. All are listed, but none work. 2. I thought to just have it learn the commands from the xFinity remote, but it couldn't learn one command, and I tried several remotes. I really wanted it to work, but I guess its going back.UPDATE: I returned the device for a new one. The new one would learn some IR remote commands but still it wouldn't learn any Xfinity X1 box commands which is a vital feature for me. Long story short, the device is very limited. I doesn't offer any Receiver models to choose from, the DIY learned commands are not accessible by Alexa, there are no CD, DVD, or Blu-ray models to choose from, etc. I returned the replacement device I received and bought a Harmony Hub. What a difference, every component I own I found by searching the Logitech database, every, single, one. It was a snap to set up and Alexa has no problems interfacing with it. Honestly, the first unit I ordered may have been fine, but it's just so limited that I assumed it was defective. The device may work better with improved software, but I don't have time to wait for the software of a $16.99 device to get updated.

Takes some time to setup but does the trick
Update: I ended up returning the item because it is not 100%reliablble sending commands. It was driving me crazy: This item works well with the Google home assistant. It does not have the range or consistently of the Logitech harmony hub. But I do like the way it integrates with the Google home app better. when setting this up in the smart life app the only button that will be available in Google home app and for voice commands is the power button. So the trick is to add TV remotes and reprogram (copy) the button press you want to the power button. Then just rename the "TV" to what the button will actually do. Every button press you want to be able to control will need to be an additional TV. I use this ir hub in a smaller sized room so it works pretty well. I use it with a fire place, lutron ir dimmable light switch, Toshiba TV and a mibox androind TV box.

Works on phone, but I cannot get it to work with Google Home.
I wanted to control two different Lasko brand fans. One fan remote was included in their library. The other remote wasn't, so I added it manually. In both cases the Android app controlled the fans perfectly. However, google home couldn't connect to the device that was manually entered. The google connection worked on the remote from the library. On the connected fan I couldn't figure out what to say to control any button on the fan except for power on/off.So I can the power on/off on one fan and cannot set speed etc. I've been banging my head against this for hours and may have to give up and return it.

Device is great, but you need the device to be very close to the TV
Despite the "6" or so different directions it blasts IR Signals, the device has to be very close to the TV to work. The device is easy to setup, however, DON'T TRY TO SET IT UP ON A 5 GHZ NETWORK. If you have a network that looks like "XXXXXXXXXX-2.4" use that. Most electronics don't support 5ghz yet.-----That being said, I would recommend looking at a different brand just for the fact that there seems to be a distance issue

Works great; friendly interface.
While I don’t have a lot of smart tech, I do have a need for this— my cable box is hooked up in another room without the ability to change the channel unless going into the primary room to do so. This allows me to change the channel while in bed without the hassle. It took some figuring out, but works great. So happy to find this product

Software sucks, but product works
I have a Haier TV and none of the 9 models work on the app. I was able to train the device using my remote and create custom buttons, but that method completely sucks because you have to use the app to control the device which is extremely cumbersome and crappy. So if you are a hacker this device could be awesome, but to a normal user it's garbage.

Disappointment
To difficult to program. It did not list any of my devices so I needed to input all functions. This was difficult so I just quit. Wasted my money on this product.

Works excellent, follow directions and you'll have no issues
Setup was a little tricky but once that's figured out it works excellent. I use mine to control my theater projector with Alexa

TV problems
After setting up the Tuya smart app on my tablet. I try to connect to my new Sharp TV, the app offers 47 different Rf versions for this make but not one of them would work, so then I tried with a four year old Sony TV which the app has 23 versions, it worked with the very first one I tried, good I thought & tried with the Sharp TV again, but still no response. As far as Alexa is concerned she can turn the Sony TV on & off, increase the volume but can't change the channels. :(
