Makita.
Makita is my go to brand of grinder. They have always been reliable. Smooth running. And sufficiently powerful. That being said I wish I had purchased one with either a handle grip and a trigger switch. Or a barrel grip and a slide switch. I do prefer a paddle switch. But in this case ergonomics seem to be an afterthought. I have larger hands and can't imagine someone with hands smaller than mine using this. The paddle is hinges at the back of the grinder. And the safety catch is not where me or people I have let use the grinder want to grasp it. This makes startup a two handed operation. Thus defeating the purpose for having a grinder with this switch feature.

Good product
Great power only downside is you have to let motor stop completely before it starts up again. Paddle switch takes some getting use to but I've only ever owned trigger versions.

It's a beast
Haven't used it long enough to comment on durability but it's got loads of power. I would not allow anyone to use it unless I'd seen them use a regular grinder first. You could really get hurt with this thing. That being said, if you always cut with the grinder pulling away from you (sparks toward you) this thing is basically a hand held chop saw. The soft start is a little bit annoying but whatever. The first time I tried it I though something was wrong because there is about a full 1 second delay before the motor starts. If you just need to cut some bar stock or pipe, it's got all the power you need. I'll still use my 20v DeWalt for the small, finer cuts. Glad to have this in my arsenal.

Not as described!
The product description and product details are different, just comes with a cutoff wheel and cutoff guard. The is no grinding wheel or grinding guard with this as stated in the description. Good product just don't expect to get everything in the description. I guess there is no proof reader.

Five Stars
Awesome grinder. Easy to get other accessories for cutting or grinding.

Died in three days.
I am a welder-fabricator, and I am pretty hard on my grinders, but this thing threw the crown bearing within three days of moderately heavy use, grinding out old welds on a piece of equipment I was repairing. I have never had problems with Makita grinders before now, I own two of their 4 and 1/2" paddle grinders, but this thing just couldn't last, and you had to wait for the wheel to totally stop before powering it back up again due to the way the Soft-Start electronics within it worked. Ended up using the 4 and 1/2" grinder I had at work for the rest of the job, and it had no problems even after 5 years of abusive use before this. Bought a Metabo instead, no problems since.

... come to a complete stop to restart which is bad if you want to feather takes a full second ...
Not a tooless guard has to come to a complete stop to restart which is bad if you want to feather takes a full second to start or restart They’ve engineered way to much safety into this tool to be truely effective Buy a dewalt D28144n instead if you can find them i have 3 and have worked the devil outta them
