I use this for frying eggplant and squash and baking. And has no heavy greasy taste. Chicken is my favorite to fry it in. Try coconut oil also. On here at great price

I am almost 70 and have used Crisco for 50 years. There is no shortening like this. I have tried off brands because Crisco is getting hard to find in my area . The others are not the same. This makes the flakiest shortbread pie crusts and I always use Crisco when I fry chicken.

Crisco Soybean Shortening is to die for, slicker than hog lard , not hard to enjoy. Comes in 3 lb. nicely dented containers for your inconvenience and the sell by date tells you it,s about to expire right on the can. Awesome product for frying eggs slow over a gas stove.
