ABC Sign and Color: A Beginner's Book of American Sign Language (Dover Kids Activity Books)

I have bought many copies of this book for little friends learning to sign! Love it!
"ABC Sign & Color" is an excellent book for beginners in American Sign Language. The pictures are delightful, providing many teaching moments. For example, "R is for Rabbit. How many rabbits do you see?" What other animals can you find? On this one cheerful page, four signs plus the letter R are taught. Including a bonus, repeat the sign for Rabbit, and it becomes plural. My favorite is "I," the boy and his cat dreaming about lots of ice cream and the cow's bewildered look. So cute! The author Susan T. Hall includes an index and Alphabet handshapes used for fingerspelling in the back of the book. Very nicely done. I highly recommend this book!

Cute!
This book is so cute!! I bought it to hopefully help teach my 4 year old with autism to another way communicate small things. He loves all the ABC songs on YouTube and I'm thinking of some laminating these pages. They are not single sided pages which kind of stinks because I always prefer markers so you do see bleeding on the other side. (I'm coloring these for him-brightly to get his attention-not using crayons but may not have a choice. I haaaaate colored pencils!)

Good starting point for kids
So we had just found out my youngest is hard of hearing. I bought this in hopes that my older two kiddos would get introduced in a fun way to ASL and give them the push to keep learning. It’s great for my 6 year old. My 3 year old not so much. She does better with videos. Still worth it! My oldest now has a handful of signs and randomly asks what other signs are not in the book. Great starting point for kids.

Very popular! Great teaching tool.
At Signing by Jo in the Olde Mercantile Store, 130 Remsen Street, Cohoes, NY, this one of the most popular items. I work with parents and children to learn sign language. Excellent book that engages everyone. Children who learn sign language speak sooner than children who do not, have less frustration and behavioral issues growing up and better communication skills. I highly recommend this book. For more input, go to Signing by Jo on Facebook and The Olde Mercantile Store on Facebook. Seize the day and sign away.

The best!
I teach ASL to children, and this is a excellent coloring book! The illustrations are cute - there's lots to look at and discover on each page. The illustrations showing how to show the signs are accurate and easy to follow. It even shows how to put previously-learned signs together to form other signs! Absolutely the best ASL coloring book I've ever found, and believe me, I've looked at a number of them.

Fun to learn
Our 7 yr old granddaughter is interested in sign language. This is a wonder book to show the alphabet and sight words to go with each letter

Fake and total B.S
I got this because I thought it would be a fun way to include ASL in with the languages I’m trying to teach my 6yr old daughter but this book is fake the only ASL in/on the book is the front and back cover and we already know those 8 signs. This is basically a Spanish picture alphabet colouring book with the easiest translated words that start with corresponding letters

I got this book because I am beginning to learn sign language with my class. It is very simple and easy to make the signs.

we use the coloring book as reference and teaching basics....the kids didn't color in the coloring book yet....for the low price and what it offers, will have to buy another one ...
