Having to send back, they claim they are suitable for ngauge, they are far too big for that scale. I have a couple of actual ngauge signals and these are almost 1.5 times bigger

I thought these lights were to big for N gauge, they worked fine. I cut off the base plate and ladder, reduced the width of the lamp holder, drilled a hole through the base board which allowed me to reduce the height of the light cut the ladder down to suit and glued it into the base board.

Not many colour light signals out there for N scale. Bought these to test electronic control. Haven't wired them up yet but I assume they will work - they come with a dropper resistor. Researching signals I found the phrase "the red is at the bottom, unlike traffic lights, so that it is at the driver's eye level". Hmm ... maybe if the driving position involved standing on the roof. :-)

They work, and the resistor is already wired in. Other truer-scale lights are available, at about 10x the price. Used for grandson's n gauge model railway. The lights are a very easy way for him to spot if the track is set for the coming train - being connected to the Seep turnout motors.

Although the signals work fine the wires are too sort and very delicate. Price was good.

Arrived almost next day. Wires are tiny but strong and best wired across an ON-ON switch, which is time consuming but worth the effort as the end result is superb especially if you wire a pair on opposition at tunnels or stations.
