Silver Witchcraft Tarot Cards – 8 May 2014

Nicely boxed, wonderful Tarot deck with beautiful images and an excellent book to go with it, which explains things in a completely different way to any other book on Tarot that I have read. For example, the suit of Pentacles or Coins is considered to be the golden threads that link everything on Earth together. Although the book is apparently authored by an English speaker (Barbara Moore), the descriptions and the meanings sound distinctly Italian (Franco Rivolli?). Although charming (I love the way the rabbits in the pictures are unfailingly called bunnies) they are full of the odd idiosyncrasies and grammatical errors of a non-native speaker, and IMHO they should have been edited properly before the book was printed. But saying that I still love it and could not put it down. I disagree with the meaning given for The Devil however. Someone has fallen into the age old trap of thinking that the card represents dark forces. Personally I have always considered the card to be a helpful warning to the querent of binding contracts, legal matters that may not have a fair outcome, or jealous, possessive relationships that need to be dissolved. There are no dark cards in a Tarot pack, only reflections, hope, and the answers to one's questions.

If you like cards which are gilded, in this deck silver, you'll love this tarot deck.The images are colourful without being in your face. Similar to the Witches Tarot.The only thing I don't like is that the Court cards have the figures stood on what appear to bewhite pillars. But this does not change the fact that this is a great deck for every day use. Go on, Buy them.

Excellent book and cards, although thought cards might have been slightly bigger. Very deep meanings, and possibly not the best set for a beginner but the artwork is beautiful. I treat the cards tentatively as I notice edges beginning to wear, so mainly keep it safe, which is a shame.
