Twice as bright, half as long
It's a very powerful UV beam that you don't want to get in your eyes. This particular flashlight seems to be over-driving its LED, and it generates quite a bit of waste heat. I set it on my desk for about 30 minutes, forgetting it was on while I walked away, and when I came back it was nearly dead and the case was too hot to touch. Still works great though.I use it to cure UV resin and inspect surfaces for contamination. It has revealed secrets to me that no human should witness.

Decent but flawed
After using this for about three months I can say this is a decent black light, but has some unfortunate flaws. On the plus side it has a really bright light on high setting, light weight, small size, and uses 2AAA batteries. The main flaw is the click button. It is completely exposed and gets activated for no reason at all. I have lost track of all the times that I have put new batteries in the light in the morning only to find it dead because I bumped the button sometime during the day. When the batteries aren’t dead (longest I’ve gone is 2 days) the light has 3 modes (high, medium, low) that you must automatically cycle through. You can do this by turning the light on and slightly pressing the button, or can click it on and off until it gets to the mode you want. This would be a great light if the manufacturer would re-design the button to be shielded (similar to the streamlight) and offered it in a high beam only light. Until that happens, you might want to consider going with something that won’t burn through 6 batteries in a work week.

Packs a punch
Solid machined housing with a lovely feel. Very bright, multiple settings a little funny to find. eats batteries as it throws this 365nm beam. don't look at it.

This thing chews through batteries like Nick Cage chews scenery: Powerful couple of minutes
EDIT: I had to bring this down to a one star because this is the most expensive flashlight I have ever purchased in my life considering the amount of batteries. So I basically am unable to continue using it because I can’t afford it.The UV strength on this is amazing. It cures quicker than my big lamp. I wish I could shine 20 of these at once and have stuff done in half the time.Unfortunately, the only power option is AAA batteries. They're nice enough to provide a pair, which lasted about 10 - 15 minutes for me. (The description says something like it'll last 6 - 8 hours continuously, I think? Whatever it was, it's longer than 15 minutes . ) I did notice it said it lasted that long on low, which all companies do to as part of their marketing shenanigans. So, worst case scenario is "low" is maybe double the time of "high. I for sure am not curing resin for three hours straight, so I wasn't concerned.Popped in a couple brand-new Duracell alkaline AAA's. It was probably 20 minutes before they were drained. Oh, and not continuous, either. It was a click on when I needed it, and then off when I was doing some non-curing activity.New Energizer Lithium Ions, perhaps? We have them specifically for the Blink cameras, which I thought were the quickest power-sucking devices Amazon sold.SOMEHOW, the Energizers lasted about 15 minutes before the "hight" setting looked like "low," and the "low" setting looked like "off." Bad batch of batteries, maybe? From two different companies? Tried another pair of Duracell, and they hit the 15 minute mark and then died their sad little death. Switched back to the Energizer, and I wasn't really paying attention to the time, but I swear it was even shorter. So I jumped on here really quick just to let everyone know that the flashlight, mine at least, is WAY more expensive than the retail price considering you'll go through at least 4 pairs of batteries in one sitting.Really disappointing. Is this the most expensive UV light? No, but it's also not one of those $6.99 UV flashlights, which I have and was forced to use amid a dripping resin sculpture that needed some direct light.

Overall impressed!
This appears to be the advertised spectrum of light (365 nm). Very revealing, things show up vividly. Solid construction. My only complaint is the button turns on easily when clipped to my pants. Also, you don't have to click "fast" to change modes. 2 clicks within 1.5 seconds will still change it. Very satisfied with the performance & size for the price.

Very bright, especially for the size, great value
I have more than one UV light but I found a AAA bright (regular, white) flashlight. I wondered if there was a UV version. I had another one in my cart but it went "currently unavailable".I am SO glad I found this. It is brighter than my existing UV lights (even though they are 395nm, not 365!). But it is pen sized and fits in my pocket. This may be the best UV light - both in size and value - here.
