It does lighten your skin tone a little, but not as much as the photos claim. I would say that this is for people who are already very close to being white skinned and who just need a little help. So it will make you pale if you are yellow or a very, very light brown. The skin color change is definitely more noticeable outdoors than indoors. The bad thing is that it's not waterproof at all, so you have to reapply it to your hands every time you wash your hands. Because water makes it come right off. It's lightening effects also seem to wear off after 3 or 4 hours, so you'll need to reapply it if you want to stay pale. If your joints (knees, elbows, etc) are darker than the rest of your body (or are dark in general), it doesn't really fix that. It did lighten my knees a little, but didn't really work on the joints on my fingers. You can apply more than 1 layer if you want to lighten your skin even more, but it will get stuck in your creases (elbow creases, etc) and create white lines. It does have a slight glow to it. In the photo you can see before and after I have used the spray.
