Very impressed.
Saw some mixed reviews, so was a little hesitant to make this purchase. Glad I did, fit and finish look alright, price was good at $115. First cut was through 1-1/4" mild steel solid round stock. Like a hot knife through butter even with the multi-purpose blade that came in the kit. A cut through that material on the abrasive chop saw was taking about 5 minutes or more and added a lot of heat to the metal (fully blued for about 3/16"). This saw took less than 30 seconds, with a much cleaner, nicer cut and I was able to pick-up the metal immediately after cutting through.

Meh....
Ultimatly, I will keep it as I love the versatility of my other Evolution saws. However, i do feel it is underpowered. It did bog down cutting an old piece of wood at full depth. Ok, it was full depth, but it was also medium density wood. How will it behave with metal?

Worth the money
Really great tool. I have other tools similar to this for wood but this one with lower speed is the recommended one due to safety especially.

Throws out a lot of metal.
I use it to cut 1/8" carbon Steel plate it cuts very well but you need to wear safety glasses and a face shield the metal that fly during cutting is very hot it will stick to light weight shirts. I put a heavy duty rain coat on plus gloves. All that said the saw makes good cuts

Lasted less than 6 months. Caught on fire while using it.
It didn't even last 6 months with occasional use. I was totally impressed in the beginning. The ability to cut wood or metal was great until...it started smoking badly while I was cutting 1/8 inch metal. I thought maybe it was the brushes. After a little research I found that you could not even order replacement parts. After I found out that there were no replacement parts available I decided to try it again.This time it caught on fire and filled my shop with noxious and probably toxic fumes. I looked up my purchase on Amazon and realized I had missed my return window by 1 wk. It was awesome while it lasted but
