Wonderful in appearance, solid construction. Recommended.
In the world of flat-pack furniture, Bush is among the best in my opinion. They use designs and construction methods that have stood the test of time and have probably been refined along the way. The finish is beautiful. The quality of hardware is very good, but not exceptional. The wood is all either medium or high density particle board. The finish looks to be some kind of photo-based laminate (not real wood), but it's truly impressive. After having the experience of unpacking and assembling everything myself, I can say one thing without hesitation:GET HELP. This stuff is very heavy, and at times two people are required to properly align some very heavy pieces of furniture. It took the better part of two days to fully assemble this. I am certain it would have gone much faster if I wasn't on my own.The instructions are fairly clear. Sometimes the part numbers can be confusing as the same part will be listed with several different numbers because the colors vary with the finish. Pay attention to the details, as it's relatively easy to put something together backwards and you'll have to walk back several steps if you do. I did that with one piece, and thankfully forgot to use the glue during that particular step. Life could have been difficult! My only complaint is minor. The castors on the file cabinet don't have any wheel locks, which means opening and closing the drawers will cause the unit to move. I'm surprised this wasn't something Bush hadn't already addressed, as it seems to be a rather obvious shortcoming.
