Rufus Wainwright

Rufus wainwright is superb, I had never heard of him until one of his songs the volcano on an advert on TVs. Now I am gradually buying all his back catalogue. I adore Barry Manilow, and although he dosnt look like Barry or sound like Barry, there us something about him reminds e of Barry. I think it is the way they change the arrangements, and make an old song sound fresh and new.

Brilliant Rufus NEVER disappoints. His voice is superb, love all his songs and I've also bought his DVD'S which are also fantastic.Rufus Wainwright could sing the phone book and it would be a total great .

In my opinion this is one of the greatest debut albums of all time.I bought it the week it came out as I’d heard a couple of tracks in advance and I played it non stop for six months until I made myself take a break. Over twenty five years later I’m still listening to it. An absolute classic.

I just happen to love the man's voice. This the first CD of his that I've bought and so don't have much else to compare it with. All I can say is I'm delighted I bought it.

Rufus Wainwright.. its all been said already, so i wont go on, this man has a stunning voice and this cd is full of just great songs' you should just sit down a listen to a master at his trade......its a joy to have and to play....................enjoy

Para promocionarlo, se hizo un vídeo musical de la canción «April Fools» que muestra a Wainwright en Los Ángeles entre un grupo de personajes clásicos de ópera como Madame Butterfly, intentando prevenirlos para cometer suicidio.Tiene una voz increíble, que suena perezosa pero se adapta perfectamente a las canciones.Grandes arreglos por Van Dyke Parks también. Y con temazos como ‘In my arms’.

Habe Rufus Weinwright für mich ganz neu entdeckt auf der DVD von Leonard Cohen "I'm your man" mit vielen Künstlern, die sein Werk würdigen und mich auf andere Mitwirkende aufmerksam machten. So auch Antony u.a.Für eine Liebhaberin von vornehmlich Klassik und Liedermachern bin ich froh, auf diese CD gestoßen zu sein. Ehrlich gesagt musste ich die Scheibe erst 2-3mal anhören, um ein Fan zu werden. Jetzt bin ich hierbei auch auf Jazz gestoßen.Hat sich gelohnt zu kaufen.
