Tru Ball Archery Bone Collector Scout Release Hook and Loop, Black, Large

I've had and used a Tru Ball Bone Collector Scout buckle release for a while, and if I did not develop a bad reaction to nickel I would not have even looked at the Velcro release. For those who have questioned where the Bone Collector label is on the release, it's under the tested to 100 lbs sticker. If it's like every other Tru ball release i have used, the sticker will be off with a few weeks of archery practice. The Tru Ball Scout is the best release I have ever used and I might replace the buckle on my old release and have the Velcro one as a backup, but I'm not sure. The caliper is the same on the two releases, so is the nylon webbing. The part that goes around the wrist, however, is quite different. With the buckle release does not have the weird seams that the Velcro release has. One of these seams will need to be covered as the harshness of the sewing does rub the skin. After two or three dozen shots, it becomes an issue and I will be covering this area with some leather. If the sewing in this area was better, I would give the release 5 stars.

I read all the reviews on this site about the release and the biggest item of problem was the fact that it didn't come in camo as the picture presents. I don't know how the camo on your wrist is going to do all that much to hide your presence out there in the woods. I usually spend more time worrying about my clothes and blind or stand. The adjustment strap is tight and small in the release adjustment, but I have fairly big hands and I used a nail file and a needle nose pliers to adjust the strap. I simply loosened it at the buckle and then pulled on the ends of the strap til, the release fit my hand. You have to take some time to do this as the strap needs to be tight from the buckle to ensure a good release, but it is by NO MEANS difficult to accomplish. This release is proving to work really well. I like it just fine.

The pictures above is not what I thought I was getting. The release shown on amazon’s website shows a camouflaged wrist strap and the release head actually says bone collector and the one I got says SCOUT. This isn’t what I ordered and thought I was getting .

This realease is my new favorite. very comfortable wrist strap and the release itself is very smooth. The nylon strap lets the release drop out of my way.

The mechanism itself on this release is really smooth and incredibly tiny compared to the original tru ball that I broke. The description of the product is perfect but the photo of the product is not quite accurate description says black but the photo is definitely black camo. (Wrist strap is solid black)
