Manufacturer dont know their fields.
I use this for tree work. I have to tend to my prusik too often with this cord so it can hold. I cant not rely it on being my on my life line, I now us it as a non-PPE (personal protection equipment) utility. I find out it is a double braid. Double braid tend to be stiff like wire and doesn't want to conform to the shape you put it to so it lossen often. Single braided rope make great prusik since it will be reactive and not having to tend to it so it holds even though it maybe 5% weaker then double braid.Dont get me wrong here on double braids. They are good strudy braids great for rigging maybe a lanyard. However differently not good for knots including prusik that maybe holding someone life in a flash that need instantly and not a second later because that is 30 feet (9.8 meters) later because you know we may have a running chainsaw in hand, climbing pick or some other gnarly tool that we are too distracted to tend our prusik or rope... Bad on the design choices here!I am a new tree climber here and I gotta say you nearly change my life for the worst or got me killed me. Good thing I was testing low and slow. I did not know it was double braided. I just heard you have to break it in so the prusik can react faster which never did. It wont. Better make a recall or tell it should not be PPE. Do you even research things? Did you think using the higher price rope make it better. Oddly in this case, NO! the cost gone up because manufacturing time to bind up the sheath and the core to make it stronger. Single braid dont bind the core which made it cheaper. "Handablity/knotablity" and cheap would have been your win win.

Stiff out of package- needs to be broken in
It's a decent cord, but it's pretty stiff upon arrival. It probably requires quite a bit of breaking in for the friction hitches I use as my hitches deform easily when I take tension off of the line, which resulted in a few close calls with this product. It definitely seems to have quality and durability, but you should always take things slow with new equipment, especially when your life is literally on the line. If the cord doesn't become more supple with time, I'll bump my rating further down from a 3/5.

Durable, works Best w/VT
Great product Ive been using these for about 5 years now. they are alittle stiff at first but as long as people tie their Knotts right and use TDS (Tie, dress, and set) Ive seen alot of people not use correct amount of loops and thats what causes slipping. this does work better with certain hitches like the VT where if you use Distol on others like it you have to dress it well. But highly recommend it espically using the VT. First one I used for 2 years straight with a distol and decended alot faster then I shouldve . it never got burnt I ended up wearing a hole in the outer material wwe the bottom single Loop is. Great product only thing I dont like is while decending it gets alot hotter then Others. But thats also why it wont burn the rope.

Super stiff
This prusik cordage is super stiff and thus making it hard to set the wraps around a rope. I wouldn't use it for personal climbing as a safety prusik. It does however function well after it has been worked into a rope with the appropriate wraps, but it takes a while to set bc it is very stiff.

High Quality
Was exactly as described, very nice for a change. Good Company, bought from them on the internet before Amazon. I am using this cord for a prusik on an 11mm static rope so it is right in the 60-80% size range that works best for this application. I have had trouble with other cords binding too tight & not releasing, perhaps something to do with the materials they were made from, but this "kevlar, etc, cord" is very suitable for a standard prusik with only 2 turns & releases well. I have yet to try Blake's or other hitches with it & I will definitely try other other lengths to get it fine tuned with different knots.

Could’ve died
Listen, this cord is stiff. It needs to be broken in as it easily comes undone while ascending. I noticed on my first climbWith it, it had completely loosened and I was hanging solely off my ascender
