This is a brownish colored liquid. It stops my cold sores from forming if I apply as soon as I notice a tingling spot.

Effective even three days after the start of cold sore
I usually slather on some manuka honey when I get a cold sore, but for some reason, it didn't work that well this time. It may have been the brand of manuka honey I used, but I was stubborn and went three days before trying something else. By that time, the blisters kept getting bigger and I was in physical pain. Did a Reddit deep dive and a lot of people recommended this coupled with Lysine. I wanted to try this since Abreva never worked for me. It appears that results are best when you apply this at the very first sign of a cold sore or that tingling sensation, so I was worried about my efforts being too late, but it's been a day and a half and I've noticed a lot of improvement. It started scabbing about a half day in and it's on the healing trajectory now. Will definitely try using this at the first sign of a cold sore next time, but even though I started using it about three days in, it worked well!

Fast acting
This is amazing stuff. As soon as I get cold sore, or feel one coming on. I put this on and it dries it up fast. It doesn't take much.
