Sometimes you need a pen and pencil holder with a little more ruggedness. This was purchased for having something to write with on the trail or out on a hike. It is now a part of my everyday carry. If you are a hiker or a climber that is in need of a pad of paper and something to write with that can take a beating, this is the pen and pencil holder for you.

Very well made, high quality pen organizer. I use it on my soft shell jacket Velcro on my left arm. I have been missing a jacket that a holds a couple of pens on my left arm. This product is a great solution if you have Velcro on your jacket.The seams and materials are top notch.

If you need this type of item then buy it and you wont regret it. I on the other hand was hoping it would be more pliable so that it would work and "form" easier within every other paper in my attache case.

Bought this specifically to hold a 3x5 notebook and some pens. The pens fit but the notebook bends when you insert it. It’s still good for pens, markers, and chem lights.

Only good for Pencils and very thin Pens. Good quality but not a good Pen Pouch. Needs to be more flexible/elastic for varied Pen widths and styles and to prevent Pen/Pencils from slipping out. If it stays inside a Bag/Pack then it's good enough so in case of rough handling pen/pencils fall out they are still in your bag.

The description was misleading in that if you use this inside the tactical notebook, there is not enough room for a book. When trying to start the return process, they will charge you $3.66 for postage back to them. Stay away if you are looking for flexibility for the tactical notebook or ease of return. I would return it, but it is too much of a hassle. Will throw it in the garage as something that I will not use again.
