12-Piece Essentials Set - 0.74oz

For the people leaving bad reviews, I don't think they understand the quality of good paint and the prices. This paint I find comparable to Golden Fluids which can average about $9-12 a 2oz bottle. This Liquitex paint is high in pigment, not "Basic" and .74 oz times 12 bottles in different colors. I love these and this size is great for paper and small canvas. I think the people who are leaving 1 star reviews have no idea what they are talking about and have no concept of how much good acrylics run. To think they were going to get an 8oz bottle of each of the 12 colors is absolutely absurd and hysterical. Love the quality of these paints and love the price!

This was a great way to try out these paints! I love them and I especially love the tops, it makes them very easy to use!

Nice dense color

Love this paint. I usually use the golden and liquitex heavy body acrylics. The fluid paint has richer color pigment and great for adding depth to your painting. It is a bit messy when opening for the first time and FYI, the top pops off it doesn’t screw off. You only unscrew it to remove the initial protective covering.

I've used heavy body acrylics in the past, and this was my first time trying soft body so I opted for a set. They are nicely pigmented while still being somewhat translucent (as is normal for acrylic paint, sheerness varies with the individual color). I haven't done a direct comparison, but they do seem to be a bit easier and more even than heavy body when applying in a diluted "glazing" kind of way.As others have mentioned, there is not a lot of paint per color, but it's a reasonable intro set if you're just trying the brand/soft body, and pretty standard price point for a set of 12 (assuming you want decent quality paint).My main disappointment is with the bottle design. They're not bad to hold, but it's easy to accidentally unscrew a little when popping the top off, and if it happens enough, paint will come out from the side/between the cap and body and make a mess when you squeeze. It's not SO easy to do that it will happen all the time—but it is easy enough that you'll want to be careful.Secondly, even if you put the cap back on immediately every time, the inside of the cap doesn't have the little nub that typically inserts into the nozzle, so it's easy for the nozzle to get plugged up with dried paint that you need to clean out next time. Neither of these issues are dealbreakers, but seem like big oversights and do make it less pleasant to use.

I've used heavy body acrylics for years and always avoided soft body and fluid because I like opaque and heavy pigmentation. These have changed my mind, I love them, and blending is much easier.

I wish the bottles were bigger, but luckily with these paints less is more. Love this brand and I love how liquidy they are.
