Always a great read but ........
Asterix and his adventures are always awesome but after Goscinny's passing, Uderzo has not maintained the same amazing tongue and cheek humor as the pair did together. The stories are still entertaining and definitely worth a read. But "Asterix and the Class Act" is basically a compilation of all their short stories over the years with some write-ups. Very interesting but not something I look for in an Asterix story.Asterix and the Falling Sky is just too bizarre for my tastes. Uderzo got future technology and space travel into this story. I just did not feel that it fit into the Asterix world too well. Still a good story though. The binding and format of the compilation is great and if you collect Asterix then this is the book for you.

Not as great as omnibus volumes 1-10
I love Asterix books since my childhood. Now I have bought all the omnibus volumes (1-11) for my 11 year old son. These are great value for money as you get three comics in each volume. He loves them too and have read them multiple times. The 11th volume is a little different from the previous volumes. Only one of the three comics out of the three in this volume is a regular (about 44 pages long) Asterix comic book. Others are reprint of very short stories and comic strips which were published in newspapers and magazines. My son didn't find these very engaging. The best Asterix books are ithe jointly created by Goscinny and Uderzo. All stories in this book were written after Goscinny died. The first full comic book in this volume are good , but neither me nor my son found the rest of the short stories that great.I will highly recommend all other Omnibus volumes (1-10).

Includes short stories and manga/superhero crossover
I wish I could get this in hardback. Warning to long-time fans: this is very different from a typical Astérix adventure, it's more like a grab-bag. Still, my children found it very entertaining.

My grandchildren love Asterix, this is the latest of the books I gave them as a present, and they still love all of them

Earlier editions are better.
The writer, Rene Goscinny, had unfortunately passed away by this edition and his absence is noticeable. Earlier editions are better.

I love the Asterix series so I bought them all. The earlier versions are better, of course.

Asterix's forever
My favourite read - I have being reading and redeading the Asterix series over and over for over 30 years. The slightly smaller size books took some getting use to - but it's the content that counts. Happy and overall satisfied with this purchase.

Did not enjoy as much as others; however, early sketches and history behind stories are great.

Bit of a mixture
Asterix and the actress is very good, and the class act is different featuring short strips only. The falling sky I could not get along with. Meeting spacemen, why? Some people may like it.
