Large Dog Nail Clippers Precision Professional Grade Claw Care Orange Handled

Works well to trim the nails on our 120 pound dog!

Not worth the money. I ordered these in a hurry looked similar to pairs I've had. Working in Vet clinics/hospitals we recommend and use orange handle nail trimmers. I've lost my last pair I bought from the animal hospital and the pair I ordered from Amazon last time were great but in storage. Assuming all orange handle clippers are the same I bought these. Super light weight cheap and not worth the money. A pair from Walmart or the dollar store would be a better choice and cost less.

Our fur baby is a mix of retriever and german shepherd so not only is she like the most beautiful doggo but her nails are SUPER thick as well. She also has some black nails (thanks to her german shepherd side) that are harder and denser than her white nails. We originally tried a sander type of trimmer but she hated that so we tried regular dog clippers again. She doesn't like normal dog clippers either but she seemed to tolerate them over the sander kind. These cut fine but we still struggled with her thick nails. These clippers also don't leave a clean cut, you'll have to file the nails down after clipping so they're not so jagged and sharp. She didn't yelp or anything when cutting her nails so they didn't hurt her or cause the nail to crack down to the cuticle, which is good. Overall, these were able to cut through her black nails (which was the true test) as well as the rest and without hurting her.

I'm pretty impressed with these clippers. I have a 125 pound St. Bernard with VERY thick nails. They're probably 3/8" thick. This cut through with no problems! Most clippers break or find it really hard to cut through the nail. I also have a 75 pound pitbull, she has thinner nails and it worked great on that one too.Only reason I gave it a 4 is because that locking thing snagged a few times.

When I got a new puppy, I did a lot of research on the best tools to use. These were recommended to me by my groomer friend. They are easy in the hand and easy to see the nail when you clip it. I have a Great Dane and his massive thick nails are easily cut when you trim them with a quick motion. Sharp enough to do fine trimming and shaping of the nail too.

As a lifelong dog parent/guardian and former Vet Tech, this nail clipper is the best I have ever used. We typically have LARGE dogs with BIG, thick nails and this is the only clipper that does the job WELL. Our German Shepherd is 12 and is quite sensitive to noise and nail clipping, of course. We had been using another brand because we lost our MF and our girl was traumatized by the process...the time it took to get through her thick nails, the struggle, and noise. It used to take both my husband and I to get her through a nail clipping session, doing our best to keep her still. These clippers solved our problem. We will never go back to any other brand no matter the price. MF is the BEST of the BEST....

My girlfriend used to work for a vet’s office and she recommended these clippers because they’re the ones they use. She was right. They were amazing. I almost didn’t get them because the description says “large dog” but I have a very small dog (7lb Maltese) and they worked great on her. I’ve purchased cheap nail clippers before. I’ve bought the sanding device. None of them worked like this. I was getting myself ready for a struggle and there was no problem at all to my very delightful surprise. It was an absolute breeze and I am absolutely pleased as can be. I highly recommend these clippers!

I ordered these to use on my big bad shepherd who is scared of getting his nails cut. I had a hard time cutting some of his nails with other clippers because his nails are so hard. I was able to do it easily with these.
