I use this on an indoor Pond and i recommend it
I have two of these. My primary one is used on 130 gallon indoor pond inside of a grow tent for both of my South American Caiman Lizards. I have a few cichlids and some mosquito fish in there as well, and I test my water frequently. This thing keeps the water crystal clear. It aerates the water and removes debris amazingly well for its size. For the best part about it, is that it takes all of five or six minutes to clean the unit and remove all of the debris. It's two different types of debris pads, one for larger material and one for finer material. And then there are bags with stone cylinders for the biomedia. Incredibly easy to put together, super easy to adjust, and there's no real noise level other than the Sweet Sound of the water sprinkling out of the top. I liked it so much I bought multiple. I do use one outdoor on a 200 gallon pond as well. Even with all the trees we have in the yard dropping seeds and debris, and strong enough to keep my water clear and it has yet to clog as long as you clean it regularly. It's been keeping my outdoor plants and fish alive for over a year now. I haven't had any issues at all.

Excellent
I'm a weirdo. When I bought my house, there was a bathtub in the backyard. So we dug a hole and put the bathtub in it as our pond. There's also a tractor tire in my yard, which was great as a sandbox when we moved in 4 years ago, but now my children are all teenagers and who needs a sandbox anymore? So at a higher elevation, we dug another hole for the tire and installed a pond liner. This filter is great! It sits in the bathtub and has a beautiful little fountain in the tub. The side attachment runs water up to the water feature at the tire pond. The overflow cascades down our artificial stream back to the bathtub. This little filter does a magnificent job. I do have to open it about once a week to clean the filters and the little balls, and about daily I need to unscrew the fountain attachment to clean it. In all fairness, I have four children, six dogs, eight cats, and forty or so chickens, all of whom are convinced the bathtub is their water source. There is also a tree over the fountain. It means there's a lot of debris thrown into the tub, so this filter definitely gets its workout. In spite of this, the water is crystal clear and has kept the bluegill that my boys added alive through the summer. The only complaint I could have is how it tries to float, but that was easily fixed with a heavy weight in the filter box.

Pretty good
It's pretty good but the head kept clogging super easily and it wasn't clearing the water well. I ended up just taking the head attachment off and it's been working great since (almost a year). The water cleared up quickly and has stayed clear. If there is a power outage the filter automatically comes back on when power is restored which is very nice.

Great product
Bought a house with a pond in the lanai. No fish, a fountain and that’s it. Decided to try adding fish. Bought the cheapest gold fish I could find as I wasn’t sure they would survive. They did! Then I thought “I would like to see them other than when I’m feeding them” and bought a filter system. It didn’t help much and I was even adding algaecide to help the clarity. The fish still survived and I bought a couple of koi. I also bought a pleco. Decided to check out other filter systems, read reviews and so on and bought the pond boss! What a difference! The clarity improved almost immediately . Haven’t used algaecide at all and after using this system for just a couple of months crystal clear water and no algae. Putting the system together was pretty easy although I couldn’t get the lid to snap on at first. Don’t know what I was doing wrong. It’s easy and quick to clean the filters with just spray from a hose. Fish are happy and I am sincerely impressed!

Maintenance
This product is built great with detailed features like the option to adjust the rod incase you are not on even ground. If you are using this for an outdoor fish pond like I did it may not be the ideal product. This was requiring weekly cleaning and sometimes twice a week you had to remove this from the pond to clean it out. On the plus side it does catch a lot of debris and algae but on the downside every time I had to take it out of the pond to clean it, some of the algae and debris would spill back into the pond because of the holes on top to collect or the lid would come lose. Overall great product for the cost.

Works great for my narrow pond!
I have a narrow, shallow, 200 gallon canoe pond and this works great because on the lowest setting, the fountain doesn’t spill over the sides of my pond. I used only one extension, which means that I can’t divert to a spitter but that’s OK because too much surface agitation would bother my Lilies. I like this much better than another filter that I’ve used. I would like it to have a wee bit more weight to it, so I will add a thin layer of pea gravel to the inside. The 16 foot cord isn’t quite enough for my purposes, so I’ll be getting an extension cord.

Easy to install and Effective filter
We have an indoor pond and needed good filter to keep it clean and flowing. This kit for price is amazing. The water foutain(different settings) airates the water. The filter does 300gallons or so of filtering. It looks nice in center. It took 5’min to assemble. Highly recommend it. We only have guppies and 5 koi. It seems to keep the water clear after 5 days. I will update if we grow the fish and hownit handles more. Good product.
