I was finally so excited to find a mesh bag that would effectively hold Purigen, without the horrible price gauge of “The Bag.” These bags are fantastic, & suit my needs perfectly. They even feature plastic zippers, so there’s no worries about harming your livestock with corrosive metal parts. 😊The bags are sewn from a very fine, semi-opaque mesh that easily holds small synthetic polymers/other media. The mesh feels stiffer than expected—more like a silky, more rigid tulle material. This makes folding the bag less “flexible” than other ones created with softer, nylon materials. However, this in no way hampers its usability. Sewn together with a wide seam allowance, some of the bags did have a few stray threads. But that didn’t affect my rating or usage of them at all.Although the bags were a bit bigger than what I needed, I’m currently using them in multiple tank setups of mine for Purigen & holding cycled filter media. The bags fit well inside of an Aqua Clear 75, but any smaller filters may see the unused portion of the bag fitting a bit snugly.

These work fine and I ordered 20 and got 20 and all seem made well enough. I will hand out to use as machine wash bags for face masks I make too. That way some people who can't cope with hand washing could machine wash safer their masks and protect the laces or ties and or elastics from getting tangled or destroyed in their machines. I use these very bags to wash several of my gloves and socks and they work great for that. I bought the larger holed style too so more water can easily get through for washing and rinsing the garments without problems. Many say they will handwash but just having an option for those who won't want to..this is right there and for the money where I give it away also right on. I plan to reorder more soon.

I was using a Brand of Carbon in my Tanks (Just Started in this Hobby Again after a Twenty Year Hiatus) that i wasn't happy with - It just wasn't clearing the Water, Mediocre At Best in Odor Removal - and My Wife has the Nose of a Bloodhound - She Can't Stand Smelly Aquariums - I read very good reviews on this much finer grain of Carbon from Aquatic Experts (Premium Carbon) - It is a Very Fine Sand like Carbon - So, I bought these Filter Bags for it and they work extremely well. The Larger Mesh Bags are also Great for Larger Media. The Fine Mesh Bags allow significant Water Flow-thru and the very Fine Grained Carbon stays inside of them. The Water is Crystal Clear and My Wife's Nose is Happy. We All Know What That Means - Happy Wife - Safe Aquarium - Lol.

I didn’t exactly know what to expect when ordering this product. They have pictures of different items in the listing, I chose the “fine mesh bags” which are the bags that have the zippers in the pictures. When I first opened it, I thought they might be well suited as little goody bags for fancy soaps or something similar because of the type of material. I wish it was a little more flimsy to better fit in filters , but it will get the job done.

Works for purigen! Only thing I don't like is the zipper leaves a small gap at the end because it can't fully close, but I have to fold the bags anyways because I have a fluval 407 and the bags are too big for the tray

These mesh bags were exactly what I needed to hold my canister filter media. I bought the pack that included both the fine and high flow mesh. The high flow bags will work perfectly for the carbon pellets I prefer to use. The fine bags will work for any finer media. I verified the zippers and pulls on the bags I received are nylon/plastic so no chemically-reactive metal. These bags will both help defray the cost of pre-bagged aquarium carbon and give me a lot more media options.

I got these to put coffee beans in. I like to use flavored coffee beans to take the odor out of things. These work as I had hoped. No fish were harmed in the use of this product......

Not for fine materials since closed zipper leaves a small opening at the end...

Great value bags for filter media, too large a holes for carbon but thats no problem. I use these to store extra media in my tanks to ensure a ready supply of cycled media for that fish tank you didnt plan on buying. Also use these in external filters to save all that aggro when the media balls go bouncing over your kitchen floor when you clean filter out

Good value for money. I bought these for the aquarium filter. My mistake for not checking the mesh size. I could not use it for fine activated charcoal, but it was fine for the biological media. The rest of the bags will be used for laundry to stop my wife's bras from getting tangled up in the wash. Also intend to use some of these for keeping small items in luggage.

Not the best quality bag I've bought but certainly very good value for 10 bags. The large mesh on these bags is excellent for larger aquarium filter media and gives better water circulation for stuff like ceramic and black bio balls.

Bought these as a 'house' for Biohome Ultra 'Mini' media that I bought from eBay and they're perfect. Holes are still a big too big for some media (such as Seachem) but for Biohome it's perfect. Suitable for larger media rather than the small stuff.
