Just what I wanted.
Just started some recovering of books where the covers are almost off or have been poorly repaired. You can get so far with videos on line but a test book to refer to is much, much better. It is a good read, very informative and written by a husband and wife team whose life's work is bookbinding and making custom cases. Just what I wanted. Highly recommended.

Wonderful book
Recommended if you're an interest in bookbinding. I'm not a total beginner, so this is useful to help me progress.

Opening the book, the endpapers are gorgeous and a complete delight. The chapters for the various projects give detailed lists of materials, step-by-step instructions and pictures to go along. The authors give you the measurements for the materials for each project which makes it much easier to complete them. The gallery of books and boxes is beautiful to look at and makes my head swim with ideas. It is easy to follow and a must have resource.

I have a Word document that I have been contracting for a family history. I know I could use other sources, but I really wanted to give an older look so here's to my grand family experiment. :-) I like it that the projects start easy and then advance up. I can't wait to get started.

An excellent book. I am very happy with this book, good instruction, beautifully illustrated, and the author understands that the people using this book may not have the lovely and rather expensive equipment of a bookbinder and gives alternative options to use to get the result of an acceptable quality.
