The Buddhist I Ching

Beautiful Translation of a Classic
I originally purchased this translation to see what a Buddhist treatment of the I Ching would look like. I already had a number of other translations, including some of the "standards" or "classics." This has since become one of my most-used I Ching editions. I use it to understand the basic text of each hexagram (Judgement, Image, Lines, etc.) before I read other commentaries. This edition is useful even for readers who are not particularly interested in the Buddhist commentary.

A Refreshing Point of View
The I Ching has been a constant inspiration to me for years. This rendition combines Buddhism and Taoism for a deeper expression of the ancient text. If you have an interest in Buddhist teaching and practice I believe this book will enrich your contemplative work and enhance your understanding of this classic work in a most useful way.

Available free as a pdf online
Not a favorite. Good support book for relating meditation practice, methods to your reading. Rather redundent. Not worth buying, get the free pdf online, then decide.

Extremely profound writing, simply can't be written without a lot of wisdom. However, most people today would not understand even a slight bit of it.

Sehr Gut
Das Buddhistische I Ging ist ein sehr gutes Werk. es Hilft sehr gut Informationen aus dem Raum zu bekommen und ist leichter zu verstehen als die Konfuzianisch geprägten werke.

I use this on Recovery Residentials .it seems to resonate for those on 12 step programs.
If you're unsure of the purpose of the I Ching - get this book. If your understanding of the function of yang and yin is incomplete - read and contemplate on, hexagrams One and Two. Read one hexagram a day and the exercise produces a comprehensive view of the I Ching and its many uses, whether psychologically, strategically or spiritually. In fact, follow instructions.More importantly a practical and insightful understanding develops with regard to Personal Progression in one or all of these areas.Recommended to anyone whose Personal Development Program includes the development of others. Not just for Buddhists, as the title might suggest.

Buddhist wisdom
An informative book that gives you Buddhist advice at a flip of a coin. Ask a question, flip three coins several times to create your I Ching diagram then refer to the book for your answer.
