Mike Meyers' CompTIA A+ Guide to Managing and Troubleshooting PCs, Sixth Edition (Exams 220-1001 & 220-1002)

Mike Meyers CompTia books is one of the most simple write and Pictographic books you can ever have in the IT field. I love the way here explains each element of the IT field rather it's a PC , Network and/or Security.Thank you Mr. Meyers for doing what you do, I am a better SysAdmin because of your books, and I do share.

I've been using this book at work to prepare students to take the CompTIA A+ for years starting with the 4th edition. I am not happy with this edition because of the many editing errors it has, as well as factual errors. In fact out of the times I have used this book, this edition seems to have the most errors. Also, unlike the previous versions, it no longer comes with a PDF of the book.

This book is unwieldy. It is heavy and inconvenient for this day and age. For the price of this book it should come with an ebook or pdf but they want you to pay twice for it. It's ridiculous. I'll do my best to never buy from this publisher again.

He may know what buzzwords the industry uses for everything, but that's about it. The way he talks in the book makes me want to hurt him every time I have to read it for school. He doesn't even understand the purpose of a modulator/demodulator but presumes to lecture people on their operation.He also wastes tons of space including step by step instructions in simple things like setting the power management settings on windows, which makes me feel like this thing can't decide if it's "how to use computers" for old people, or "here's all the industry lingo you need to learn to look smart at the tech support desk of some place."Totalsem is fixing to get a totalbrick through its window.

There are no answers to any of the practice questions or exercises in this book! Unbelievable!How can one assess their retention of the material without being able to check if your answers are correct??It looks like two choices available today, unfortunately!! .....You can either buy a book that is in terrible black and white, with no color at all,but has answers to the practice questions.....… Or, you can buy a book like this, that is in color, but has no answers at all.These publishers have to stop being so greedy!!!** How about printing books in color,with the answers to questions,like it should be.... let’s be fair! **

This book has extensive understanding explanation all in colors and every thing aboutcomputers this is well explained and this book will show you all that you need to upgradeyour system, this book has more than 1276 page of serious documentation.I've seen lot of books but this one by Mike Meyers is the best.

Great book, and autor Mike Meyers.Everything is explained and easy to understand.The quality of print is great.
