Works, but not perfectly
I got this to replace another similar, unknown brand HDMI/USB dongle. It works, however (and I can't tell if it's the monitor or the dongle or even the PC), when I restart my computer, I need to disconnect the monitor from the computer before restarting otherwise I need to unplug the monitor from both power and the dongle. This didn't happen with the previous unit, however that unit just flat out failed, so I guess a trade-off. Don't know if other monitor combinations would have this issue or not.

Does the job
Received an XPS work laptop that has micro USB ports, which meant it was not compatible with any of my other accessories (keyboard, mouse, VGA monitor). Got this product to fix my conundrum, and it does what it's meant to. My only complaint is that the main body is a two-piece build; the plastic where the wire is sometimes pops out of the metallic plate. Not a huge deal, just gotta pop it back in.

Cheap, Effective and Portable
A great product! I tried it with my Samsung S8 and got full DeX experience with FullHD display, USB keyboard and mouse. It also works with new laptops that have USB-C. The item is made of aluminum and build quality is great. Good value!You may need an additional USB-C charger in order to use it with cell phones.

Works!
I have had this for a few months now and I have not experienced any problems with it so I would recommend! That said there have been a few times that my computer did not immediately recognize the device but that might just have been the computer.

Thunderbolt 2 (MiniDP) connected to UCB-C Port
Just got this and one note. If you have an external display using Thunderbolt 2 (Mini DisplayPort), the monitor will not work if plugged into the USB-C port of this adapter.

Convenient adapter
I am using this adapter with 2017 MacBook Pro, I can use HDMI, USB port and use the USB-C port to charge my MacBook. The HDMI is 4K and has great resolution, I have used it on my TV and Monitors. It's small and compact enough to fit in a pocket or a sleeve and is easier to carry.The construction of the device is prefect with its aluminum build and seems very sturdy and does not look cheaply made. Many colleagues like it and have asked me where I bought this adapter. The price is not expensive and the quality is good. I can recommend this usb-c adapter.

Not what I wanted
I cant knock it. I wanted this to use to stream from my phone to my TV. I guess it is used for phone to PC because that was the size on my TV. Wrong product for me

Needs more power, captain!
This is running on my Dell XPS 13, which needs 45W, and this adapter apparently reduces power to 40W, which causes my laptop to stay on, but doesn't charge!!
