It works for Forteo
It works! Yay! I use Forteo, which is an injectable medicine that needs to be kept refrigerated. FYI, the Forteo injection pen is about one inch in diameter, so it’s thicker than most insulin pens. I tried traveling with the Goldwheat Insulin Cooler Travel Case, which came with ice packs, but that system failed and med was room temperature within 8 hours. This Disoncare Odyssey Cooler actually works. I tried it first for 12 hours, and then for 24 hours, and it worked perfectly each time to keep the medication cold. You have to freeze the included ice pack for 6 to 8 hours, then let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes, and then put it in the thermos-style cooler alongside your medicine. They give you a little cloth bag to put your medicine in, so it’s not resting directly on the ice pack. The cloth bag was a little too snug for my Forteo pen so I just wrapped it in a piece of cloth Instead. Works just great!

This is a great diabetic supply travel accessory!
The cooler kept my diabetic supplies cold for the 2 days I was traveling. It worked great!! I couldn't give it five stars because with the cooler pack and three pens, the pens got trapped by the lip inside, and it took quite a bit of effort to get any pens out at that point. But it was a minor thing compared to how cold everything was kept for the 2 days without access to a fridge! Overall, I am very happy with everything.

Med’s Require Refrigeration- Travel not a Problem
I travel for a living and my prescription medications require refrigeration. This keeper works great and passed TSA in every country I traveled in. Everything you need in one sturdy and effective capsule. Compact and fits in mini fridges.

Item will hold 2 pens.
Item is good and sturdy. Holds cold pack, thermometer, 2 fabric bags for each pen all sealed in metal container. No problem through TSA security as considered medical device. Very useful when traveling and instructions easy to understand. I recommend this product.

Perfect for the go
The wife and I took her cruise. She’s a diabetic. It was perfect for her insulin pens.I read the directions and it told me what to do. There’s a blue insert as well as a white insert the blue insert will keep things cold as your insulin Pennswood up to almost 3 days. The white is just for about 16 hours only that’s because you fill it with waterIt said to freeze 24 hours ahead of time we did that. It also said to put container in the refrigerator. We did that as well.It was perfect. We carried it on the plane and we let TSA know that there was insulin pins near without the needles. Perfect for the go.I give it a five out of five he did exactly that small drawback the lid spun a little bit. It’s like a tin cap on a plastic lid. Little cheap, but perfect for the go. It’s stay cooled four hours in on hours. We flew in on a Saturday and didn’t put it in the refrigerator until Saturday about midnight so it was 24 hours almost and it was extremely cold all the way.
