An essential part of every Travel
It hasn't been long since I have started producing videos on my Sony camera. Before our upcoming trip to North Bengal I knew I had to buy additional batteries to have an uninterrupted shooting experience in low temperature.And, boy did this battery prove to be one of the best purchases I did before the trip.I just reduced one star because I feel this is a tad bit expensive.Nonetheless, you HAVE TO buy additional power before planning for every travel video.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered this for ~4500₹ with card discounts from the site. Was worried reading most of the reviews that they received fake product.Will work with Sony #alpha series cameras of 5100, 6000 series and A7Initially got a scare that the battery did not work when connected to the camera. However, after charging for 10 minutes it started working and as you can see in the video - post which In 45 minutes it charged to 100%.Buyer BEWARE -1. Buy this ONLY from Appario Retail or Cloudtail as they are authorised resellers of Sony products2. Check the video to see if you have received the same product.3. The hologram sticker will show Sony in one side and a code in the other.The box price of this is 4990₹ as per Sony. So be careful during purchase as it’s not always in stock with the above sellers.Will update if the battery stops working.

Worth the backup power
I have sony alpha 33 a old now discontinued SLR model, Since it has a electronic view finder it is very power hungry, so on many occasion I felt the need for power backup, I bought it and it has more Juice than my old battery because my old battery is degraded by regular use for one year. The battery I bought is original and has same property that the battery of my camera has when I bought it about two years ago. thanks AMAZON INDIA,

The Sony RX-10 comes with just 1 battery and no charger. So after your battery runs out you can't use your camera till it charges the battery internally. A spare one lets you charge when you aren't shooting and shoot longer.

Don't buy a battery, buy a CHEAPER charger first
If you are no longer able to recharge your battery, DO NOT TRY TO BUY A NEW ONE.I would suggest you purchase a china made charger for the battery first. This is because, Sony chargers have 3 pins that connect to the battery, and the battery has an internal circuit that often gets busted. It happened even with the new battery I purchased, and even for the replacement. In that case, Sony chargers won't be able to charge the battery anymore. However, cheaper China made chargers have 2 pins that connect to the battery and when I tried, I was able to charge both my old and new batteries that way. These chargers cost around Rs 750-1000max. So, before you shell out 5K, try with a cheaper charger first. Even if you buy a new battery, it's circuit can make it useless in a matter of days.
