Is this the poles and netting? or just the netting alone ?

It comes with both the netting and frame as pictured. Just a side note, customer service is great as they replaced my broken screens twice...but the fact they keep breaking is not a good thing. After the 3rd break I just didn’t bother. They broke each time within 3 months of light use at the welded joins. Very poor quality.

Can I hang a 55 pound mat from the frame?

Yes , we have a heavy yoga mat from ours as a backup in our pitching lane at our sports training facility.
