It works!
I have two shaded silver Persians, so flat faces and mostly cream-colored fur. The combination makes for some very dirty eyes. Nothing I've tried in the past has worked, so I finally broke down and bought the Eye Envy Tear Stain Remover Solution, the Eye Envy Tear Stain Remover Powder and the Eye Envy ProPowder Applicator Brush. I find the solution works to clean their eyes, then I use the brush applicator to dab on the powder under and in the corners of their eyes. Their eyes have never looked so good! Honestly, I'm not even sure if I am supposed to use the solution and the powder together, but the combination actually works. And the brush is perfect for applying the powder. I had thought I could use an old eyeshadow brush, but that doesn't work at all. I love this stuff and will continue to use it on my cats.

If I had known better I would have gotten the starter kit because with ...
If you own a flat faced cat (Exotic shorthair, Himalayan, Persian, Selkirk Rex, Scottish Fold, British shorthair, Burmilla) you need this product. If I had known better I would have gotten the starter kit because with two mostly silver (white, for all you non-show people) kitties, a rescue persian who looks like she ran straight into a wall who constantly weeps tears and a Scottish Straight ear that also looks like he's crying all the time, I need the powder and the liquid. When it comes to cats and chemicals, I think it is best to go with what's natural. So, looking at the ingredients: Water Witch Hazel: Astringent, anti-inflammatory Boric Acid: Soothes inflamed eyes and helps treat bacterial infections Colloidal Silver: Anti-bacterial (you can use this to treat ringworm topically even), stimulates healing in skin, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory. Long story short, colloidal silver is awesome and you should have some on hand for random fungi occurrences, wounds and other infections. I've got to say that this product is perfect. It doesn't make them perfectly white right away, but it does treat the underlying condition and with a little work, you can get that perfect white. I like that it breaks up chunks of eye goobers more effectively than water, so I am not pulling out hair when I wipe. And if your cat struggles to avoid being cleaned you know it's just because they hate their face cleaned not that the product hurts them in any way. My cats personally loathe having their face cleaned, so when I add the liquid, they get cleaner than just water or eye wipes. With the powder, they STAY cleaner. Which is all great, because it means less face cleaning, and happier kitties who can see out of their usually gooby eyes. Here is the powder: Eye Envy Powder for Dogs & Cats 0.5oz

Eye Envy, keeps kitty cheeks clean like a champ!
I did research into what show peeps use. It was a great place to start looking into this common problem regarding what to do w tear stain on the eye cheeks. I also read reviews on Amazon of course. We have a purebred persie kitten Sherman, or lil Shermee, named after Richard Sherman of our Championship winning Seattle Seahawks! Shermee has the tear stain on his white eye cheeks that I used to wipe fr his eyes a few times a day, but it never got totally removed or clean. Our purebred doll face persie has great eye ducts, no problem w buildup of tears w that breed. To get to the review.... this stuff is the bomb!!! It works so well our lil smoke bi-color baby looks fresh faced and clean. It's a mild solution that gently removes the reddish stain that get on the eye cheeks. I lay the mitten on his back on my legs as I sit down, and he lets me use a kleenex tissue, he seems to know I am grooming, not doing harm, he doesn't fight it or mind one bit. After it drys, I apply the recommended powder u apply w the tip of yer finger or a lil mini makeup brush I read somewhere, it helps. Together these products keep our baby Sherman clean and kissable! Do the cleaning every couple days. Only takes a few minutes, you and yer kitty will be happy with eye envy stain remover solution and eye envy powder. Funny, cuz I never leave reviews, but thought this would help fellow kitty lovers seeking a solution to this common problem. Cheers! Meow!

Refridgerated “original” IS better, IMO.
I’ve purchased this eye envy product from amazon plenty of times; it was recommended to me by the rescue from which I got my first Persian cat, and I find it to work very well. I later rescued a 2nd, she has a white face and a worse problem with tears in generall. The product works well on her too, but one time after running out and going to reorder I decided to look through the reviews for the first time. I noticed some mentioned a refridgerated version available only direct from the manufacturer, and swearing by it being better than this non-refridgerated version. So, I decided to order it and decide for myself, vowing to come back and write my own opinion. Long story short, the refridgerated one does work better, and very noticeably so. While this version removes tears and stains very well, the refridgerated version does even better. My cats’ eyes can get quite bad, and I love to keep them looking 100. With the refridgerated version you wouldn’t know they even had such issues, they look perfect, even with a white face. This non-fridgerated version does also work well though, don’t get me wrong. Thank you to those that put me in the loop on the refridgerated version, I’m hoping I can do the same for some others here. Note: I’ve also seen reviews that say this works just as well, maybe it’s not the same for all cats, IDK.. but personally I will only use this one now for times I don’t have access to refridgerattion, like travel. It’s the same price on the manufacturer’s site (at least it was when I got it) and definitely worth a try. Either way Persian cats are amazing creatures, let’s do our best to do right by them!

Highly Recommend!!!!!!!! 🤍🤍🤍
I have used this product for over 15 years and would not use anything else!!! Use as directed and the staining will improve within 2 weeks. Use with the powder. So easy to apply daily until the staining lessens. Safe for around their eyes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!! My Maltese really benefited from this product. (Ted E. Bear on Facebook for more photos). Second photo is a cockapoo.

I have used both versions, but I used the refrigerated version for YEARS, and it works better. Please, please bring back this incredible stuff!

Works as well as the refrigerated version.
I just posted a review for the powder which is the key for our cat. The NR liquid seems to work as well as the refrigerated version. Some of the eye cleaning products we've used on our cat in the past has slightly irritated the edges of his lids occasionally. They would appear slightly red after application. But not with the Eye Envy so it seems to be more gentle. I can't honestly say that it cleans the dried crust up better or faster than some other products we have tried but it does seem to work at least as well in that respect. Our cat doesn't particularly enjoy his eyes wiped but aside from that, he doesn't show an objection to the EE liquid itself like he did with some other eye wipes and solutions. That is reason alone to continue to use it. But it's the powder that has made all the difference in the world. No reason for us to chance not using the "system" together because it really is working amazingly well. Nothing else we have tried really worked well at all. If your pets eyes tear frequently, I highly recommend you try the Eye Envy but do not skip the powder. The powder is the key for us. Really amazing stuff. I'm giving the liquid 5 stars because of the non-irritating nature and the amazing result we are seeing from using both the liquid and powder together.
