The only downside is this tuition: It is focused for american architects as it uses only american standards, american construction details and american units (Meassurements, dimensions, etc...)

Learning Autodesk Revit Architecture 2013: A Video Introduction is a great video training program on Autodesk AutoCAD Revit LT Suite 2013 - Includes a 1 year Autodesk Subscription & AutoCad LT 2013. This is the second such program I have used. The one on Maya was more of a basic training program. This one contains plenty of basic information, but the presenter gears up much more quickly. As such, when you are done you will really be able to use Revit to do actual work.PREREQUISITESThere is no need for prior experience with Revit. But it definitely helps to have had prior experience with AutoCAD or other modeling programs. Knowing building and architecture concepts is assumed.EXTRASIn addition to various online resources, this program also comes with the ability to stream these training videos online. The project files are also included to correspond to each chapter topic. Or if you mess up your project file as you are following along, the completed project file is also available.FORMAT AND PORTABILITYThese DVDs are well designed. The basic DVD-ROM interface lets you use it on your computer. But all the video files are MP4s so you can watch them on any DVD player or Bluray player that plays MP4s. You can also add these videos to your tablet or mobile devices, such as an iPod Touch or a smartphone. This is a great advantage compared to other training videos.TOPICSThis video covers everything by going through the sample project. All the basics of the Revit user interface are either covered in the earlier lessons or along the way. Throughout the lessons, he includes tons of contextual information and shortcut commands. And the entire program follows through one Revit project, with the files available as a whole or by chapter.Revit's interface and menus are very different from AutoCAD's. By focusing on specific tasks you get practical guidance on working on projects as you learn how to use the program. The instructor constantly reinforces the earlier information. The sections are all detailed discussions on actual project elements. So while this quickly progresses to advanced topics, it never becomes overwhelming.CONCLUSIONThis is a practical how-to training program that will quickly have you up and running creating projects in Revit Architecture. This program is extremely versatile, and you can store and view these videos on most of your devices. And the instructor is great. REVIT Has Never Been So Easy To Follow. Wiley's Digital Classroom for Autodesk's REVIT Architecture: A Critical Review.
I have always maintained that the classroom-in-a-book/ video disk is by far the best alternative to having a live instructor to teach the course. And, it is significantly better in learning comprehension that regular tutorials where there's no way to backtrack your work. Having one of those simple step-by-step visual teacher as you work alongside the presentation really makes a difference.This presentation REVIT ARCHITECTURE 2013 is cooperative effort by Wiley Publishing and Video-to-Brain corporations.They start out with at least 1 working professional (in AutoCad, you had 2 presenters) and they come up with a very detailed project.After the introduction and overview, 5-7 minute subsections go over various tools and how they related the project at hand. Very Solid Introduction
As part of my participation in the Amazon Vines program, I received this product for review.Primarily, this is for my wife who is an Interior Designer and uses Revit at work. They did receive training at her office, but it's always nice to go back and revisit topics to see how another instructor will explain them.The additional benefit of watching the videos is that I can somewhat get a grasp on what she is doing. I am attempting to follow the lessons in the training videos at least so I can follow along when she talks about work.The instructor has a good voice for computer based training and speaks clearly and is easy to understand. Though I doubt, that I'll ever be switching jobs anytime soon, this product is giving me a chance to better understand what my spouse does for a living and that alone makes it worth watching.

Love It. Makes Sense Out of a Complex Program.
This is a wonderful program for learning Autodesk Revit Architecture 2013. You will be learning to do real work on this program.Pros:- Professional video format. Easy to follow along with. Crisp graphics and video.- Master Presenter. The presentation is well done and gets going from the start. Focuses on the task at hand. Not full of unnecessary fluff.- Expanded online curriculum. Online references and streaming videos keep everything up to date.- Expansive Curriculum. Covers everything from shortcuts to customizing. The sample project will get you up and running fast with good base for your own starting project.Cons:- Doesn't really have any. Good price for the teaching!Easy a 5 Star Teaching Program.
