Best coffee maker. Ever.
I am the type of person to over research everything and still be super indecisive about what I purchased, but let me tell you, this thing RULES. I could not be happier with this coffee maker. Between the regular, hot coffee, and the cold brew / iced coffee, you are getting a steal with this purchase. Listed out some of my favorite things about this coffee maker below. Overall though, you need not look further.. this is the GOAT. - The coffee is HOT. Like piping hot. My old keurig would get the coffee hot, but like... this thing keeps it at the best temperature. - I make usually 1-2 cups daily, and have no problem with the amount of grounds per cup of coffee. It's really really good coffee. I also love that it has a small "stand" for when you're making a single cup. It really is the little things haha. - If you like your coffee strong, this has a feature "Rich" that make it extra strong for you. --- It also has an espresso option "Speciality" great for use when you need a quick jolt of caffeine or a latte - The cold brew feature works great. I would make a full pot of it during the summer and keep it in the fridge for future use. - The frother works amazingly well too. It does not heat up the milk that you froth, but honestly, the coffee is so hot that I don't even need it. - Cleaning is a breeze. I use paper filters because it's easier clean up and the filter provided does unfortunately let some grounds come through. It's barely noticeable though Two cons: 1. The amount of space it takes up. I went into buying this knowing full well how big it was though, so it's more of something to just keep in mind 2. Occasionally when I grind my coffee too fine, the water has a hard time making it through the filter. This can lead to water build up in the filter, and if you leave it, water dripping down onto the base of the coffee maker. The clean up is very easy though and does not splash around the coffee maker. All in all though, I cannot be happier with this purchase. The value for your money is A+. I would buy this 100 times over if needed.

finally a great coffee maker
Like many others, I have limited counter space. There is 12 inches between the sink and the toaster oven which hangs low. There is no headroom for pouring water into the top. But, this maker has it all. The basket swings forward (not up). The water reservoir is on the right. I can pour water in the top or I can pop it off to fill it. Capuchino, espresso, latte, coffee, iced coffee, iced tea, all variations of hot tea, in a compact size affordable price. I am just blown away. The separate tea and coffee baskets pull completely out so there's no cross-contamination. And, it brews directly into my 16oz mug without having to deal the carafe unless I really want to. For those who complain that it froths milk, not steams milk - I'm happier with this design. Steamed milk has a wow factor but it requires me to have the correct timing as to not steal steam away from the brew cycle. Frothed milk just requires 30sec in the microwave to warm and I can do so on my own terms. For those who complain about not supporting k-cups - this machine is not for you. Who wants expensive stale coffee pods at home? I also find warming plates to be the most useless feature of a home coffee pot. All they do is cook the coffee until it's bitter. Skip the warming plate and microwave your cool coffee to make it hot. It will taste much better. Perfect? Nothing is perfect. Here are my minor gripes. The clock looses time when the power goes out. In today's day and age there's no reason for a clock to loose time for power outages of less than a day. The delay timer is awkward to use but since it brews so quickly I never bother with it. And, the power cord is too short. Come on. My vacuum cleaner draws more current and it has a 20 FOOT cord. You're just annoying people with a short cord. The taste of the coffee is smooth. and, it makes a HOT cup of STRONG tea with the press of a button. No more messing with tea pots and pods while the tea goes cold, followed by all that mess. It makes loose tea just as easily as bagged tea. And, it does something I've always been too lazy to do - it brews tea at the correct temperature. Now I'm no longer a tea heathen, nor do I need to pull out the infrared thermometer. I'm super happy with this.

LOVE ICED TEA AND THIS MAKES IT QUICK!
I normally make my coffee each morning with a french press and have avoided in the past a coffee maker because of the size and also since I am the only one that drinks coffee I didn't feel I need a large machine. When I read the reviews that this makes one cup of coffee (without the disposable cups) and more importantly to me - iced tea by the glass or carafe I had to order and try it out. Now I admit, I love kitchen gadgets so I am the perfect person to write a review. It came packed very well and quickly In a big box and then inside that box another box and inside that box the box that is shown in my review. So packed well! I am not very good at mechanical things which when you have to put together or figure out how it works, I call that mechanical and my kids laugh. Anyway, took this out of the box, plugged in, read instructions on which filters were for tea and coffee ( which are labeled clearly with color) and ran the two max pots of water through and was ready to make my iced tea. I love iced tea and selected the large glass which was my Yeti container size shown in my pic. You put the ice in the container beforehand, I didn't have loose tea so put in two tea bags and pressed start. Made my iced tea in record time and was delish!! Wow, amazing! Now this a.m. I had my one cup of coffee. I put it in the mug shown and selected large cup container. That was a mistake for it is the next size down I should have pressed. My mistake and will know next time. It over flowed and I just wiped up. I then made the froth - SO EASY! I have to say, this is now one of my favorite new kitchen gadgets which is saying a lot since I have many. Now the equipment - I chose the stainless steel container versus the glass when I bought. It is more expensive but I believe well worth the extra. The carafe is very insulated and some reviews said that the coffee didn't come out real hot. Well, I can attest to the fact that it was very hot and I almost burn the inside of my mouth. So this version of the Ninja is great. The baskets are well made and I love they give you two for coffee and tea. I just rinsed them out after using and couldn't be easier. I like that you don't add to the environment by plastic or paper each time using. The scoops for coffee and tea sits on the left side built in and the froth is right beside of it built in too. Less likely to misplace or lose. The process of selecting and making the size is easy as well for someone not "mechanical". I could find nothing I do not like about this coffee/tea maker. Highly recommend!!!!

Perfect for a BnB or for favorite coffee snob!
I have been researching Barista products for my BnB. I wanted to offer guests the convenience of single-serve options without compromising on quality or contributing to environmental waste. I also wanted to offer the carafe option for couples who want to enjoy more than just a quick cup on the run,....and a tea kettle because running water through a coffeemaker for tea will taste like stale coffee, which is just unacceptably gross. I have been using a French press, which is very good but our guest suite is like a hotel room, without a full kitchen, so I have also needed something that would not be messy, involving excessive dishwashing or wet coffee grounds. I have been researching products for months and as most people who are considering this Ninja have probably noticed, the consumer ratings on other coffee machines - from Mr. Cheapy to the most expensive cappuccino machines - are shockingly low!!! It has been interesting but frustrating to see that most coffee machine companies do not know how to make it possible for their customers to make a good cup of coffee!!! (And there are also health risks with most of the single serve coffees). As I planned my BnB, the coffee station kept getting more complicated, seeing the need for various machines but all of these issues were solved with this Ninja - the only piece of equipment needed! It offers a clean, rich, smooth, customized cups or carafes of your choice of beverages. One feature I really appreciate is the tea basket which brews tea without allowing the water to touch where the coffee has been, so there is no cross-flavoring! It works fast, easily and efficiently, without making a mess. It's much more economical than the individually packaged stale coffee grounds and tastes better than what is offered at the corner coffee shops. This model costs more for the stainless carafe, over the glass one, but I believe stainless is the gold standard so I won't ever have to replace it and it keeps the coffee hot much longer. ***Update: One thing to be aware of- when brewing, watch the lines that light up during brewing time. It is not finished until the lines get to the end. It will seem like the coffee maker stops before the cup is full- just wait about a minute, then it will finish! When complete, the lines will notify you and the basket will make a sound which you will soon get to know! There are a few 1-star reviews on this product which make me wonder if they just didn't notice this feature.

Smart, Versatile Coffee Maker That’s Almost Perfect
I really like this machine. It’s smart, easy to use, and the taste is superb. It makes a lovely matcha, great cold brew, and solid iced tea, all in one place. The temperature is just right, the size is compact for what it offers, and the large water reservoir is a huge plus. Best of all, no more stupid pods, and our family has genuinely saved money because everyone can make their own style of drink with one machine. My only real complaint is the “small” cup size. The small cup is almost 12 ounces, so even a small with room still ends up being a big cup. I have Fiestaware coffee cups that are basically useless unless I brew a whole pot. Did I return it? No. I still love it, but I’m really hoping future designs include an extra-small option around 8–9 ounces. I also love the frother because it’s built in and easy to clean, but I wouldn’t mind if it had a bit more power. One more minor thing: it can be a little drippy at the end, so the tray needs wiping. That might also be me grabbing my coffee too quickly. Rating: 4/5 ⭐️ -1 star for the “small” cup being too large for most cups and a slightly underpowered frother (plus a bit of end-drip mess). +4 stars for superb taste, ease of use, lots of brew and size options, great temperature, easy cleaning, an easy-to-clean built-in frother, a large water reservoir, and a compact footprint.

Impressively good
I was skeptical that one device could do coffee AND tea well, but it actually does. I've used it daily for 2 weeks. I typically brew 1 cup of coffee in the morning, followed by a few more of green or black tea (I just throw the bags in the filter). And it works GREAT! Have not tried cold brew yet. I'm a little skeptical of that too, but we shall see. The built-in scooper is surprisingly useful. Has measurements for coffee and tea and has made it very easy to make just the amount I need - 1 coffee cup or a full pot. It comes with a reusable stainless steel filter so you do NOT need to buy filters. The steel one has worked well for me. Easier than fussing with paper and is easy to rinse out. The screen has a good balance of features, but keeps it simple and intuitive to use. It comes with separate filters for coffee and tea and automatically switches modes when you change them - cool! It also comes with a stainless steel Looks great! Not bulky. Probably sounds like I've been paid for this, but I really haven't! I've just found this to be a very well designed machine. :)

Jack of all trades, hopefully it will last. UPDATED Feb 2020
UPDATE: After 16 months of use, the coffee maker started leaking leaving a large puddle on our counter. At this point it is unusable. I love the flexibility and taste of its coffee and tea, but it is unusable and out of warranty. I now give it one star. This machine does it all, it is really a jack-of-all trades. I find that I am using it much more than my expresso machine because the Ninja is so versatile and easy to clean. I am concerned about the build quality but so far, after a few weeks of service, it is going strong. Pros: -Makes a great pot of coffee and can also brew tea -Has an innovative design to ensure your tea doesn't taste like coffee -I like the measuring scoop and quick-guide information on it -Brews directly into a carafe, mug, or travel mug which is totally cool -Makes hot and cold drinks that can be "classic" or "rich" -Does an ok job of simulating cold brew -Does a pretty decent job with "specialty" (4 oz. espresso-like) drinks without requiring a lot of time or effort -Has a milk frothing device (more like a whisker) that works great and is easier to use and clean than the steam wand on an espresso machine -Does not contain a heat-plate so your coffee (and house) won't burn -Brew Basket does not have a drip-stop device, so it won't get backed up and make a mess on your counter -I like that it has its own water reservoir. Adding water is a breeze -Is preset to brew/infuse at the proper temperatures and times for different teas and coffee drinks Cons: -It is pricey for a device that dumps water over coffee beans. -No water filter feature, so I wonder if hard-water deposits will quickly build up in there -I am concerned about longevity. The machine is more lightweight than any of my other coffee/espresso machines and has more embedded electronics that may burn out over time -The thermal properties of the carafe is a joke. Your pot of coffee will go from 187 degrees to microwaving-required in 2ish hours. The carafe is lighter and feels like it has thinner walls than cuisinart and kitchenaid carafes. Maybe part of the problem is the funnel-lid? It has a hole in the middle that does not close, allowing heat to escape. The competition can keep coffee hot for much, much longer. We fixed this problem by purchasing a decent serving carafe and we decant the freshly brewed pot into the serving carafe. -The (non-heating) plate that the carafe sits on feels lightweight... is it even metal? -Does not make true espresso, espresso should be brewed at higher pressure. However it does a surprisingly REALLY GOOD JOB at simulating espresso by utilizing more coffee beans and infusing the beans with water -Does not make true steamed milk, instead it agitates the milk to make it froth... therefore you need to heat the milk up first if you want hot frothy milk... but it does a surprisingly REALLY GOOD JOB at making frothy milk and can make cold frothy milk as well for iced drinks -Cold brew coffee is not as smooth as a true cold-brew, but it is pretty good for a quick 10-15 minute process So to summarize, I really like this coffee machine. The Ninja has pretty much replaced our espresso machine for the time being. I like the flexibility of being able to brew hot and cold coffee/tea directly into a mug and I really like how easy it is to make a very tasty cappuccino-like drink. I'd haven given this 5 stars if the thermal carafe would actually keep the brew hot for most of the day like their competition. I will update this review as we continue to use the product

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
I absolutely LOVE this coffee pot and everything about it! I love that there is a scoop attached to the side so I always know where it is (I can’t tell you haw many times before our scoop wouldn’t be where it was supposed to be, But seriously). I love that the water container is not right next to the grounds container (also had problems in the past with accidentally dumping or at least getting some grounds in water reservoir). I love that it makes individual cups of coffee without k-cups or coffee pods! I honestly barely ever use the frother but when I do I love it! I love that it makes tea. I love the different baskets for tea and coffee. I love the actual reusable coffee filter itself, ones in the past would always quickly crack or get a little hole in them. Not this one, it is super sturdy! I love all the different sizes of cups/pots of coffee you can make (only thing, kind of wish there was a 3/4 pot but it is so easy to just quickly make an extra cup or 2 really not an issue for us) 11/10! If you love coffee you will love this machine!
