Had professional installer try to get this to work on ...
Had professional installer try to get this to work on my 2000 toyota sienna and a Kenwood BT318U radio. It did not work.He reached a point where the installer saw the radio and the adapter but would not continue to completion. questions to Axxess support has been fruitless. I received an email to call them. When I called they wouldn't connect me with the person who might know the answer. They said that I must be in the vehicle with the radio out of the dash before they would help me.I am out 50 bucks.

Used or returned product
Received today and looks either used or returned. Nothing inside was wrapped and box came in taped multiple times to keep contents in. Installing tomorrow and if doesn't work, I will be returning for a refund. For $60, would expect a new item. Geez!

Installed in 2003 Sienna with JBL system
I installed this in my 2003 Toyota Sienna with the JBL system with relative ease, I called Metra and they helped me set it up!! The reason I’m giving this a 4 stars is whenever I press my lock/unlock button or my horn it no joke changes my volume. Also, sometimes it doesn’t work, but it’s quite rare and will kick back on within my next driving session. I feel like both of these issues may be my fault with the wiring I’ve done in the car.

Does not work with all models shown in the listing.
The listing says it works with certain models of Toyota & Lexus from ‘99 to ‘09. That is not accurate according to the single sheet of paper they include. It only works on some years of the listed models like Sienna up to ‘03 not all the way to 2009.

Worked first time on my 2001 Toyota Sienna
One solder/crinp connection required for power but other than that it recognised the car on the first try and has worked well ever since.

After I installed this on my 2001 Sienna, it didn't want to self-install correctly; the lights blinked as per the directions, but nothing else happened. When I called the company, they had me get on the manufacturer's website and do a firmware update; after that it worked as promised. A minor nuisance at first, but I'm glad to have the steering wheel controls available for my aftermarket radio.
