Bought this as a gift for my brother, as he has many critters around his home. It's small and portable to take camping as well. It is great for video viewing or as a night vision monocular.

The controls make sense, and I can operate it one-handed without fumbling around. The strap is handy when I'm walking the dog at night - just hang it on my neck and it's ready. Image quality is the big surprise. The 3" screen is clear and detailed, and the dual IR + full-color night mode makes the night scene look almost "daytime-ish" compared to other devices I've tried. The adjustable exposure is another highlight because you can tune the brightness for your surroundings. Minor con: no microSD included. Still, 4GB internal gets you started, and having support up to 256GB gives plenty of room later. Battery has been strong so far. The night vision quality exceeded my expectations. Tried it out at a local trailhead parking lot after sunset and it did better than I expected. The IR makes things pop, and the full-color night vision helps with identifying what’s actually there cars, bushes, people walking by without everything looking like a blob. The screen is clear and the battery seems to last (3000mAh).
