Do Yourself A Favor: Get This One!
I’ve been looking for something like this for over a year, but all of the options seemed obviously flawed to me, too cheap and flimsy, too immobile, questionable structural components, etc. On a slightly separate note I ended up turning to this company, Levo, for an e-reader and tablet holder a couple of months ago, and was thrilled with the results. On that basis I made the leap and bout this laptop/reading/tablet tray, and I’m glad I did. As it happens I’m writing this review on my laptop, on the Levo stand. First things first, the quality of the construction is very high; parts fit without a bit of effort, the various components are all excellent. The packaging for both of the Levo products I’ve gotten both met an extremely high standard, and the instructions in both cases were trivially easy to follow. They have a number to call if you need help with anything, but I never had a reason to use it. The arms of the stand are all powder-coated aluminum, and they’re light as well as sturdy. The base is a SERIOUSLY heavy beast on locking casters, which is what you need for something like this! With a heavy base, even resting my hands on the keyboard, I never feel like there’s a sense of instability. After less than 10 minutes I had my working laptop stand and no complaints. The mobility of the tray portion is outstanding, and you really can use this every which way. The flip-up tabs at the bottom do the job of keeping the laptop from slipping, as well as the little elastic straps you can use to further secure it. Adjustments are easy to make, in terms of height (two simple paddles lock and unlock the two-stage height adjustment), tilt of the tray (a single knob does that), and even the tension on the swing-arms is easily adjustable with a quarter. The result is that for different uses, you can have a super-stable platform, or one that can be readily adjusted to any angle. For me, this has helped a lot with keeping me from using my laptop on my actual lap, and it looks good doing it. If you found yourself here looking for something to hold your laptop, and you’re not sure because some other models are a little less expensive… just get this one. Yes, it’s a bit more than some others, but it is also MASSIVELY more reliable and useful.

My La-Z-Boy is my Home Office!
I travel a lot for work and when I'm not on the road, I work from home. Of course, during the pandemic a lot of people worked from home, and I worked almost exclusively at my house for nearly a year and a half. I used to work with my laptop on my lap in my La-Z-Boy, at the desk in our bonus room, or at the dinning room table as I don't have a "home office" per se. However, during the pandemic my wife worked from home as well, and she used the desk for her work. I needed something, and fast! The Levo Laptop holder is awesome! It was very easy to assemble, and has many adjustment features. This comes in handy during online meetings. I can quickly raise my laptop upward so as to better hide my double-chin. Nobody wants to see that. But (fellas), you still have to trim your nasal follicles. This laptop holder is great, but it can't work miracles, walk on water, etc. This product is sturdy, hefty, and is well made. It swivels easily, which allows me to push my laptop aside quickly to stand up from my recliner. In short, don't mess around with some flimsy laptop holder. This one is all anyone needs. I highly recommend!

Well that was heavier than I expected
I bought this to replace a different laptop stand, and it has pros and cons. PROS: -Quite sturdy. All the truly necessary bits are made out of very solid metal. The base is quite heavily weighted for safety. The whole thing feels like it should appear in in the "Clue" board game as a possible murder weapon. -I primarily got this so I could use my laptop while also having my cat in my lap while sitting in my chair. It does work for that, I'm doing it right now. -The cat was less helpful putting it together than she thought she was but was easily distracted with the plentiful carboard packaging. -They included an extra laptop safety cord, just in case, which was a good thought. It's the one thing that actually might break. CONS: -Be careful putting this together. I kept nearly hitting myself in the nose with metal pipes. This is maybe a sign that I should have had another pair of hands to help, but then again, that might have just meant it was a different nose in danger. -You are going to stub your toe on the base. It's going to hurt. -My previous laptop stand I felt very safe just letting my laptop be stored as sitting on the shelf of it. I'm less sure about just leaving my laptop on this stand, for reasons explained in the "improvements" part below. -I also got the mouse accessory part for this desk. You will convince yourself that you've put it together backwards and then realize you were wrong slightly too late. It's still a decent mouse tray, though it is slightly less sturdy than the rest of the desk. (Also my mouse doesn't quite fit in the "earbuds" pocket, but it's not like they said it would, either.) -Good heavens the package it arrives in is heavy, and an awkward size. I'm also confused about why it was packed in a package that size and shape- it looks very much like the adapted packaging from another item for it. Getting the box inside my front door was a trial, and actually taking everything out of the boxes involved a very sturdy set of kitchen shears, more patience than I usually have, and some unpleasant language. Improvements I'd love to see: -The tray that the laptop sits on: I'd love to see the top surface rubberized so the laptop slides around less. I may get a rubber mat for that. -The little phalanges that are at the bottom of the surface the laptop sits on, to keep it from sliding off, could also have rubber edges. My wrists rub up against them while I use the desk, and also it would keep the laptop from sliding around as well. -The "safety cord" for the laptop means that you can't close the laptop while it's on the stand, if you're using it. I've gotten into the habit of automatically closing my laptop when I'm done using it, so I'm not sure I'll use that feature. But I also worry about the laptop sliding off, so I'm not sure I should store the laptop on the desk when I'm not using it. (If the top surface and phalanges were rubberized I'd feel more safe about leaving the laptop there without using the safety cord.) -The hex wrench they give you to put it together with: if they slightly thinned out an edge of the handle, you could use it instead of the quarter and the screwdriver they suggest also using to put the whole thing together. Then you'd just need one tool. Anyway, that's after putting it together and using it for a few minutes. We'll see how it ages!

I wound up in a neck brace for 3 months due to an injury while on holiday. (long story) As you can imagine, the brace makes it extremely uncomfortable to work at a normal desk. Combined with a comfortable recliner, this workstation allowed me to continue working without having to move my head between the screen and keyboard. Well worth the investment. Not sure if I want to go back to a normal desk once the brace comes off... The only thing missing is a built-in cable management system on the horizontal arm, but Velcro cable ties took care of that.

Very solid structure but the table is wobbly and very unstable when you have to work or type on your laptop. Would have expected something more solid and stable for the price. Good for watching or vedeoconferencing stuff but not optimal for actual typing or working.
