Title: PS5 controller FUBAR Product: "Alternative for PS5 Controller" Rating: 1/5 (awful) I generally dont like doing strongly negative reviews, but given the eggregious number and type of shortcomings I encountered here, I regret having wasted my money and time on it, and I felt obliged to help other shoppers by sharing my experience. I bought this controller NEW for my PS5, because the price seemed irresistable. Big mistake. Problems: > Drift-proof "Hall Effect" joystick (henceforth abbrev "HEJ") : The amazon product entry crows about the drift proof nature of their controlker's HEJs. Naturally, my controller worked ok for a few hours, and then suddenly the left stick began an irreversible straight line DRIFT that made further gaming impossible. Neither casual twiddling or blown air, or even diligently following the MFR's recalibration and hard reset instructions fixed the drift. FWIW, the spec sheet didnt even mention the presence of HEJs at all, despite the product description on Amazon. Additional nits: > False claim (20H battery life): Sony OEM controllers have a 6-8 hr playtime, tops, which usually entails a 3.7v battery with about 1000 mAh capacity. This one claimed "20 hrs" (3x capacity), and yet even the included user sheet's specs reveal only a 1560 mAH capacity, which is barely HALF the min required to support that claim, and as with OEM battries it is neither replaceable nor upgradeable in order to meet their claim. > Bait & switch support: Instead of including proper contact information listing an actual brand name or manufacturer with an actual physical address and a point of contact phone number for customer support, the manual mentions nothing, and only included a small card that promised "Lifetime Warrantee" and a "Guide Video" on how to fix joystick drift. Scanning that took me to a lone website (ugameu.com) where no such video exists, and the lone image of a ps5 controller looks NOTHING WHATSOEVER like the one in my hand (see card pic), regardless of color. Digging around the website revealed an address in China, and a link to a required App that immediately began demanding sensitive privileges to be enabled that were intrusive, personal and identity theft prone, and which should be unnecessary to receive basic online support. I aborted and uninstalled the app as soon as it started demanding access to ALL of my contacts, et al. I"ll stop there. For me, it seemed like a typical nightmare scenario involving a brightly colored and attractively underpriced chinese knockoff that upon arrival doesnt deliver on promised performance, and which demands you abase yourself by enabling ALL of your personal sensitive information in order to interact at all. FAIL. Thank God for Amazon's highly reasonable and highly accomodating return policy, which gets 5/5 stars, whereas this product seems to merit only 1/5. I recommend avoiding this product (and brand) ... at least until a body of reliable domestic vine-certified reviews appear that either substantiate my poor experience, or refute it as an unintended outlier. RETURNED FOR REFUND.

My grandson needed a new controller for his PS5, so I decided to give this one a try. He absolutely loves it! The controller is highly responsive, and the joystick controls operate smoothly and responsively. This controller is a great value and a smart purchase.

Simply exceeding my expectations. We already have two original controller, however one was acting up and wouldn’t charge until I found this gem. It looks and feel just like the original one, except some minor grips here and there but this is as close as you can get. If they add the MS logo on it, you probably can’t tell the difference. All buttons functions as intended and same as original. It’s very durable and good quality. It charges same as original and charging time is not shorter nor longer. It holds power well but my son has a time limit on PS5 so he has never played more than 2 hours , I don’t know if this would hold power for 20 hours non stop or not. It works for us based on our time limit. The color is same as original MS controller. It’s wireless and has no cable which is great. So far we have had no disconnects issues and it connects very easily to PS5. We use the same charger for it and it works just fine. Its very good quality and it really feels just like the PS5 controller. I dont have alot of expectations for it since my kids play with it and they are happy. As long as all buttons functions well , connect easily, and it replaces the main controller, then I am happy. Well worth the value for it does.
